Cortez resumed the action, Ortiz and Floyd touched gloves, Floyd even nodded his head as if to say "OK, I accept your apology", the fighters are oddly close to each other and then Ortiz reaches forward to hug Floyd, HEY! That is dangerous, Floyd may have been thinking that Ortiz could try a sucker punch at that moment. So he threw first. Hit or BE hit. He threw a slapping left hook, and Ortiz had a full second after the punch landed to wake the F&%^ up and raise his guard, but he instead chooses TO COMPLETELY TURN HIS GAZE AWAY FROM HIS OPPONENT---this is a NO-NO. Protect yourself at ALL TIMES. Floyd could have NOT thrown the right hand, seeing Ortiz not looking, I do agree however. BUT IF I HAD JUST GOTTEN FLAGRANTLY HEADBUTTED, CUTTING MY CHIN, I WOULD PROBABLY NOT AFFORD THE OPPONENT A BOATLOAD OF SPORTSMANSHIP EITHER.
