Default Manny and Floyd. The biggest cowards in boxing history.

I commend all the fighters that have tried to go against the two greatest boxers in the world with little or no chance of winning. It takes a real warrior to fight someone who is better than them to push themselves higher to try to be the best. The only two boxers I dont see doing this are floyd and manny. Does this make them cowards. It does in my book.

I don't know, it seems to be more Mayweather that's ducking.

Manny has said he will fight Mayweather under normal conditions.

It's Mweather that's trying to change how a normal fight usually happens because he thinks Manny is a druggy!

The problem is that if manny really wanted the fight floyd he would be out there every second on TV etc, pushing to get the fight saying he would take the tests and telling everyone floyd is avoiding him.
The same the other way round. If floyd wanted to fight manny he would say forget the extra stipulation i have added to this fight I want to fight him to show im the best.
It seems the drugs test thing is working out perfectly for the both of them so they can avoid fighting each other because none of the two are making any effort to fight in the slightest.

Remembering that Manny is a very humble guy, running around shouting off his mouth is hardly his style. In fact Manny just says "unless I'm fighting Mayweather then I aint discussing it." He never says he wont.

Mayweather just bitches everytime I see him about how he doesn't need to fight Manny. It's BS in my book! End of the day..............

Mayweather could make this fight happen with the click of a finger!

I only agree in part with that. It only takes bravery if you are expected win those fights.

There are millions of total tomato cans out there who would love to fight Floyd and Manny.

The thing is that floyd and manny could beat each other. It is the only fight out there for both of them that is even slightly challenging. They are not making the fight happen because they are afraid of loosing. If everyone was like this in the world of boxing nothing would happen. Simply cowardiss.

If they wanted the fight you would be hearing news from both camps with offers to the other fighter all the time. If Manny is quiet then his promoter would be pushing the fight for him. But there is hardly a squeak from either of them. There just happy to coast through easy opposition till they retire. When I say easy opposition I mean easy for them as most people they fight are at the top of there divisions.

I don't think Manny is afraid of losing. He's always fought the best and pushed himself further than any other human in history as far as climbing weight classes go.

Manny is careful not to fight someone at too great a size disadvantage, hence a couple of catchweight fights, but that's just smart rather than cowardice.

Floyd on the other hand is all about his zero. He simply cannot afford to lose and thus the stakes are incredibly high for him. Regard's Pacquaio though I don't think it's fear, rather it's about control.

I'm certain Floyd is 100 percent sure he can beat Manny, but for him, like Hopkins, the battle begins long before they step into the ring, but right from the negotiations. He wants to make Manny make concessions, so he is the one in total control from the beginning of the negotiations to the time the bell rings.

Manny, naturally, does not want to make those concessions, as he recognises them as such. The stand off is all mind games, both wanting to force the other fighter to cave in to their demands so that psychologically they start from the offensive.

It's stupid to suggest the top two fighters in the world are cowards though. Nobody ever rises to the pinnacle of anything with a yellow streak. Mentally these are both totally fearless and ruthless men. They simply couldn't have got to where they are else.

One of my biggest pet peeves is when boxing fans call professional boxers cowards because certain matches aren't made. Of course since Floyd and Manny are at the top you get it from these so called boxing fans the most.

Just think of what they do for a living, then see if the word coward is appropriate to describe them.

Unusually for me, I agree completely with Bilbo.

Boxing fans are really the most incapable of satisfaction human beings out there. People judge Pacquiao for taking easy fights. His easy fights are against people WAY bigger than him. Are the memories out there so bad that we forget he fought Morales 3 times, Barrera twice and Marquez 3 times prior to him reaching his prime?! Coward?! You are insane!

Neither are cowards. That's just silly.

However, Floyd is clearly TERRIFIED of Pac. Just listen to his post fight press conference from the other night.

When told that Pac will "take the test," he goes on a rant slagging everything about him. Why didn't Pac challenge him back in 2000? It's not possible for Pac to KO welters coming from flyweight. It's the equivalent of Floyd KOing the Klitschko's. Floyd's money/taxes feeds Americans. Pac's money is for foreigners. Floyd keeps 100% of his money. Pac gives Bob Arum 30%. Pac feeds on Floyd leftovers. Pac only beats them more impressively because Floyd all ready finished them.

    There was more.

All the while Floyd can earn $25 million + per fight he can afford to dodge Pac. And that's all she wrote.

I use the term coward in the fact they are afraid to loose there winning streak and there position in the the sport. Not the fact they are afraid to get hurt by the other fighter. There put there position above there instinct to be the best and take the toughest challanges. Therefore afraid of loosing what they have. What they could be fighting for is a place in history to be one of the greatest boxers of all time. Shame for fans and the sport.

Cowards? No. But I think both to differing degrees are stretching everything out to the utmost career and money wise. Fans are getting shafted and should broaden the vision. Frankly, I could care less if they fight. I do think Manny wants a meet more and has more desire as I'm not sure Mayweather wants to box or enjoys what he does at all. I think underneath that one has a lot of pent up issue and I think it's eating him up and slowly it's all brewing badly.

They already are two of the greatest boxers of all time. Both are still active. The fight I'm sure, will happen eventually. They just want to let it build as long as possible.
