    Default Ready or not

Are to many fighter's today going for title's to soon, I would say yes look at DeGale the other week that was a hard fight lot's of people are falling for all the hype yes he is a good fighter.
I do think he need's 8 or 9 more fight's before thinking about a shot at any world title, it may be just me but it's just the way I see it?

I'd say its also more about the quality than number, but its def hard to imagine a guy getting the fully rounded gears he'll need to sustain in so few fights.

For a while now it does seem its more about rushing-manufacturing a guy to a trinket more than its about finding out who exactly has the championship caliber of two. It makes a guy have to play catch up on another level as profile and hopefully opposition increases.

    I think of Andre Berto.

    & Canelo.

I agree though that it is about the quality of opposition.

speaking of Berto, it seems he's going to continue with his mediocre opponent choices seeing how he's most likely fighting Randall Bailey next , of course it's if Ortiz doesn't choose to give him a rematch, IMO Ortiz stops Berto in a rematch

found this on ESPN.com - Brandon Rios-Yuriorkis Gamboa fantasy fight close to reality - ESPN

"• Welterweight titlist Andre Berto (28-1, 22 KOs) and mandatory challenger Randall Bailey (42-7, 36 KOs) have agreed to terms for their fight and avoided this week's scheduled purse bid, according to Lou DiBella, who promotes both fighters. "We have a deal between the fighters and I have 15 days to do a contract and provide the IBF with the information," DiBella said. "We would like to do that fight." The bout is due by February, DiBella said. However, neither HBO nor Showtime has bought any 2012 fights yet as both networks deal with major changes in their boxing departments following the exit of longtime Showtime boxing chief Ken Hershman to head up rival HBO Sports, where he starts Jan. 9. DiBella said if HBO wants to make a rematch between Berto and Victor Ortiz (29-3-2, 22 KOs), who defeated Berto in a fight of the year candidate in April, he would need to know quickly. But DiBella said he hasn't heard from the network on the topic or from Ortiz's promoter, Golden Boy. Ortiz is coming off losing his belt to Floyd Mayweather Jr. on Sept. 17. Berto rebounded from the loss to Ortiz by stopping Jan Zaveck for another version of the 147-pound title on Sept. 3. "If an Ortiz-Berto rematch materializes and HBO puts up the money and says they are not buying Bailey, Berto would probably go with the rematch," DiBella said. That means Berto would give up his belt and "Randall will wind up fighting for a vacant title," DiBella said."

the only problem with a fighters like Quigg , come forward and pressure ,unless he has a rock chin he could struggle when he meets a really tough power puncher, then does he have a plan B ?
    time will tell.

I don't know about that. Interested to see what direction they go in next up. I don't see Gamboa going up yet, Morales was mentioned but I'd take Demarco at the weight and see him busting Morales up as long as he keeps elbows tucked. Rematch with Linares is up in the air , hopeful? I don't think that was just some flukey asterisk win and may have taken a helluva lot out of Linares. I'd favor Demarco in rematch. He's already beat #2 or 3 dude.

He really has made improvments and I'd put him head and shoulders as far as ring maturity compared to a Berto, or even a Canelo who I don't think is learning alot vs Gomez or Rickys brother.

DeMarco may lose in his next fight but he won't go down without a fight! The guys all heart & determination. I'd like to see a Linares rematch happen next. I'd pick Linares to even the score
