Just read on boxing scene that De La Hoya wants the fight in the UK. Surprised this is happening to be honest, does that mean that the Peterson fight is on hold?

The timing is perfect for a rematch. Prescott has done more than enough to earn another shot ( kinda weird considering how Khan is the one who got blitzed in 1 round ) and Khan needs to build himself up again..

Still gotta feeling Prescott is dangerous in this one! You cant get Prescott outta there too easily so he's always gonna be dangerous. Couple that with Khan enjoying getting smacked round the face...could all end in tears..

yes he's dangerous with a mental edge on Khan thats for sure. But can't see Khan wantng it tbh
Just checked boxrec - didn't realise Prescott had been kayoed end of November.
Anyone know what type of KO it was eg one punch sparked like he did to Khan, referee stepped in, bad cut ?!?

Basicaly he was taking too many uppercuts on the inside from mike Alvarado and the ref stopped the fight although Prescott was way ahead on the cards and Alvarado was pretty smashed up but prescotts stamina is bad

That possible fight only occurred to me recently but I have to see it if Khan moves up - I think Ortiz does a number on Khan, I really do. (Well, we'll see what he does against Berto this time..I may change my mind)

It has been reported that their close friends though. So it might be hard to get them to fight.

Prescott does not deserve another fight with Khan. Prescott has lost major fights, so does that mean his opponents have more right to fight Khan than Prescott does. It would be an easy fight for Khan, who would soundly outbox Prescott. Khan should concentrate on the rematch and getting his title back. Prescott is damaged goods.
