    Default Victor ortiz career?

Lots of news about victor being out for a long time and the lopez rematch could be mid 2013.

He has issues with quitting but is that a bad thing when his health is at stake?

With his jawbone broken in two places and taken ages to heal what is this doing mentally to ortiz as a fighter? Where does he go from here? How can he back that berto fight warrior spirit?

Him quitting against Lopez was nothing like the one with Maidana. He's health was on the line to the point that the doctor said if he would have been hit right he's bones would have ripped a main artery. He was ahead in the fight just one of those things that can happen out of nowhere in boxing. I think he can still comeback and do something with his career. looking forward to seeing him fight again he's fights are always exciting.

I never make a big deal of a good fighter losing, if you fight long and often enough you're bound to lose one or two. If Sugar ray lost, the great bomber lost who are we to frown upon someone who's nowhere near those two in terms of talent?

Victor Ortiz should be able to bounce back from those setbacks, he is physically gifted explosive, quite durable IMO and skilled. The Kid is a realist IMO and a smart one, he does not get his ego get in his way. I'll continue to root for him against anyone who is not Cotto and Pacquiao

Ortiz will be back. He has a chip on his shoulder and will come hard trying to prove himself like he did with Berto. The loss to Maidana motivated him all the way to a title shot with Mayweather. The loss to Mayweather felt like an ugly NC and the lost to Josesito was a fight he was winning to his jaw got broken. Ortiz fought on but you can't blame dude his shit was cracked bad. So I expect him to get back to the top and win back a belt.

Ortiz makes for exciting fights, its not lik he stinks out the joint and then quits. I think its smart of him to just say enough is enough when he thinks its best, tho he might be better of if his corner does it so that he doesn't get the negative backlash that comes with "quiting". Ill be rooting for him to make it back to the top, but he does have a couple screws loose in the ring and hope he can control those, hell perhaps he should even try and fight a bit more defensively in the future.

IMO the only two fights that really make sense for Ortiz to move forward with his career are a rematch with Lopez and/or the winner of Berto/Guerrero

The biggest thing holding Ortiz back in his chosen career...He isn't too good at fighting and he's pretty ring-dumb.

that's the thing he doesn't need to think about what after, he needs to focus on getting back on track and shaking the image of a mentally unstable quitter

You don't have even minor arteries in your jaw. That's either a very strange jawbone or a very strange doctor.

I'm not a doctor or anything but the ringside doc said Ortiz was badly bleeding internally and could have bleed out if he continued.

Ortiz has only made two mistakes in the ring, he quit against Maidana and he head butted Floyd.
He paid for both, so I'm pulling for him to get back to his winning ways in the ring ASAP!
