Don't think so, if anything I think it could work against him. I don't think he had great chance to begin with and this can't help.
Mitchell was pushing hard without a good platform to start from. It's happened to more HW than you can shake a stick at.
I don't think losing a trainer is a good motivator, but I've been wrong before and ANYTHING can happen in boxing.
