Default Steve Forbes:Cotto in Mexico signing Alvarez fight

    He's posted it on facebook.

Not surprised. Alvarez's cherry picking continues. I hope Cotto pulls one last legacy performance out and kicks the shit out of him just as a matter of principle. At least his style is suited for Cotto.

I'm not gonna get on anybody's case over this. Trout has just won the title, and Canelo is a pup. Let it stew for a while.

I knew this was coming also but it still kinda bugs me. Floyd vs Guerrero will no doubt be announced at the same time.

He has yet to face a true jr mid.

So transparent its just flat fk'n wrong. This isn't cherry picking, its grave robbing. For a guy who was putting Floyd name in his mouth and complaining its time to stop manufacturing opponents, cut this "he's still learning...pat-pat" and sac up! Pathetic.

No official announcement yet. They are no doubt waiting on Floyd to make it a double.

It's like Alvarez gets hate for being good at a young age. The expectations placed on Alvarez are ridiculously high. And there made that high for the purpose of seeing him fail. He's already at an accelerated pace. What more muthafukkas want? He's 22 years old. He has an outstanding resume for a 22 year old. At 22 Cotto was fighting Sammy Sparkman. And he went to the muthafukkin Olympics

The fact that people are actually trying to spin this as a legit fight shows what years of having boxing's bullshit shovelled down our throats have done to certain people.

Cotto has lost 2 in a row. Convincingly. A guy who lost two in a row shouldn't be rewarded with a megafight. That's absolutely rediculous.

This is exactly why people don't give a shit about boxing. This is why people know the names of the guys on UFC undercards, but would struggle to name a boxing champion outside of Mayweather or Pacquaio.

We should be demanding more out of our sport. If you are trying to justify this fight, shame on you.

Blah, blah, blah...... do we have to go over this once again . We debated this for about 3 hours Saturday night. Just because he might have fought what you consider better opponents, doesn't mean that beating those opponents has earned him the right to a big pay day yet. I mean seriously, who has he really beaten that was a serious threat to him? He still needs to prove himself by fighting & winning against guys like Trout, Angulo, Kirkland or Molina. Being young has nothing to do with it. Golden Boy has just created a hype machine, and expects all of us to bow down & believe it.

The fact that people wanna watch him is why he deserves big pay. It's that simple. Money is what dictates everything in boxing. And why does the name Kirkland keep coming up as someone he should be fighting? Kirkland had his chance. And he backed out. He doesn't wanna fight Alverez. Yet his names is always brought up.

It's not cool for a so called champ to pick a fight with a man who has just put in one of his career worst performances. Alvarez habitually does this and thus I have no interest in the chap.
