I'd take away Dempsey and Johnson, and would add : Holyfield , Vitali and Liston to finish the top 10 . Fraizer/Wlad would be my next choices

I understand the Vitali over johnson due to longevity How about Liaston? Yes Holyfield is definitely my #10 if I think about it now. Yet he couldnt really beat Bowe who was not such a big deal according to many, MANY on this forum. Nor could he beat Lewis either time.

Loving Brockton's top10 lists all over the years. I should have recorded those lists for statistic use.

    Cool click, points given.

I honestly don't think too much of Johnson or Dempsey. Liston , Holyfield and Vitali would smoke them both

Interesting lists but there is a fighter noticeably missing on all of them so far.

List wise I'd have to give it some thought but the man I hinted at would most definitely be in my top 10. More ko's then Tyson, Foreman and Valero combined. Top 10 welter. Top 10 middle. Top 5 super middle. Top 3 light heavyweight. Easy top 10 heavyweight. And he was 5 foot 7.

Tommy Burns, born Noah Brusso. Was one helluva fighter and 5ft 7 but I wasn't aware of him fighting at other weights. Bob Fitzsimmons was a multi weight champion and quite small at 5ft 11 from just down the road from me but I'm stuck on this one.

Well out of the list I say Holyfeild should be up there I rate him over Tyson on resume alone. Say what you want about Bowie but Holyfeild was the only one to beat him and had to deal with over 30 pounds of weight advantage. As for Lewis the rematch was a close one and Holyfeild was 37 by then and almost beat him at such a late age as well. I think Longevity is important but resume has to be there as well reason I have trouble with every era that is not the 70's or the 90's because they were so stacked.
