What a piece of work this guy is. He must think Trout is going to win.

Rocchigiani should have stuck to his guns and let the WBC fold when they gave his belt back to Roy. Instead he caved for 6 figures after they filed for bankruptcy.

Did Jose Sulaiman open his mouth again? WTF is this corrupt clown up to now? He is an embarrassment to the sport of boxing. Someone should offer him a nice severance bonus to STFU and shuffle off into the sunset. Unfortunately, he's got his son waiting in the wings, to ensure that the Mexican Mafia of boxing continues its corrupt ways. What a fucking joke.

@TitoFan Situational ethics. The end justifies the means. Should Alvarez win the rule goes away.

    Garcia has two titles
    Floyd has three
    Ward has two

Situational ethics.... haha.... I like that.
Sulaiman would love to have a name like that assigned to what he does.
He may not understand what it means, but he'd say it sounds legit.

It may have been for the wrong reasons, but one of the best things Riddick Bowe ever did on live TV was take that giant bubble gum machine trinket and toss it in the garbage can!

Yup, in hindsight Bowe actually looks like he was ahead of the curve. Seriously though how is this guy even allowed to operate legally and call this organization legit? Al Capone gets busted for tax evasion and this guy gets away with what amounts to racketeering and has done so for decades and supplied the evidence. One would think the Don King years alone would have buried him. Another puzzling and angering issue for me is the amount of boxers that talk about the "green and gold" and seek it out. Its not even the oldest Org. Must be the beneficial spontaneous rule changes.

Its like the roid thing. Everybody knows but nobody does anything.

In most organized team sports, the commissioner has accountability. If he's not doing the job, team owners can usually vote them out. But in boxing, an organization president practically has to die before someone replaces him. There's no one with authority to remove him from office. And thus, Jose "Scumbag" Sulaiman goes on undeterred. He twists and breaks rules on whims... he blatantly makes up rules which favor his countrymen boxers (Mexican)... he's gone on record defending cheaters such as Margarito... he's best buddies, in fact... he's Cesar Chavez Jr.'s godfather (with all the irony the title "godfather" entails)... he inexplicably ranks fighters to suit his own personal, biased agenda... etc, etc, ad nauseaum.

And there's not a damn thing anyone can do about it. We just have to wait till the old man croaks, much like the people waiting for Fidel Castro to croak.

There is a sentimental outlook from fighters about the green and gold belt which goes back to Ali and other great fighters but what belt is older and more prestigious?

I'm pretty sure the first belt Ali had was the WBA belt. Not sure if they were the first criminal conspiracy to call themselves a sanctioning body.

So the WBA is older and more established?
