Question Regarding a boxing book

First off, sorry if its a bit off topic, I was gonna put it in the off topic section but thats non-boxing so..here it is.

I've came across this book though I've never read it: The Professional I was wondering if anyone's read it. I've read many historical boxing books but never a story about a fictional boxer, I got a big pile of books to read so I'm doing a bit of min/max ing and I'd appreciate any book you gents can offer.

Great, great book. I've read it numerous times. My understanding is that the trainer in the book is based on Jack Hurley, one of my favorite all-time boxing guys, and 'the professional' is based on several of the fighters he trained and managed. These included the great Billy Petrolle.
