Lets say in 1995, Larry Holmes gets the decision against Oliver McCall and wins the WBC crown then puts it on the line at Wembley stadium against Frank Bruno.
12 rounds of championship boxing. Who wins and why?

I've just seen that our own ICB had thought of the same thing 6 years ago, so here is a bit of previous discussion...

Although I think this was more of a reference to a potential 80's match up, which I feel would of been a foregone conclusion.
The 90's I feel is much more intriguing!

Bruno had a better chance in 1995 because Holmes was older and Bruno was more experienced. However Holmes may still have stopped Bruno late to retain the title if he had beaten Oliver but would have got obliterated by Tyson.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Bruno beats him in a close fight.
I'm not sure what Frank Bruno did better than Ray MercerOnly bring that up since you'd assume the better jab wins, and that was still Holmes in the early-mid 90s at least.
God love him but in order for Frank to get over the line he needed a completely unhinged drug addict to be holding the belt. Even then he very nearly didn't and McCall only fought for about 3 rounds. I think if anyone else was holding the belt it would have been disappointment number 4.
When God said to the both of us "Which one of you wants to be Sugar Ray?" I guess I didnt raise my hand fast enough
