Thats an interesting choice, Groves by KO. I think we are more likely to see the extreme safety first style that Booth teaches when opposed any type of threat ala Valuev, Wlad, De Gale etc.

He wont take Froch on points doing that and there is no way hes as strong as Kessler to stand and trade the whole fight.

Booth to me isnt a great trainer. When you look at Haye and Groves, neither has particularly good head movement or defence. Its all based on moving away with their feet. When both tire they are even more hittable.

He struggles with pace and combination punching (more than one punch at a time). Hes fine getting out of the way of the odd jab or right hand but add any other punches and hes run out of ring to skirt around.

If you watch the De Gale fight, the last few roumds and Groves is struggling with the pace and thats against De Gale who has looked shit in a couple of recent fights over the distance.

Groves can afford the loss, that's why. A defeat to Froch is no disgrace, it's the kinda fight that no one would ever consider a loss that bad at all.

Haye didn't get hit a great deal by Chisora, I watched it midday Saturday and he got caught maybe once a round that was notable.

His 5 punch stoppage looked fine, combination wise.

You need to remember that Booth's job is "train to win", and he does that job spectacularly, his success makes him the money for his family. As long as his fighters win he is sorted, and almost 100% of the time, they do win.

Im not the only person that sees the whole Booth set up as a charlatan. He is another one of those cheerleaders, he gets in to the fighters head feeding them shit basically. He was a personal fitness instructor but now hes some sort of boxing Svengali?

Im seeing more of these pop up. People who can motivate with bullshit pushing naive wannabe boxers in to the ring as white follar foghters when all they can do is motivate and make people feel good aboit themselves and hold the pads. Their "fighters" foot work is attrocious, no defence etc.

If you watch the latest video I posted of the ringside programme where Booth is sat next to Fury. He has really got a sulk on. Not enjoying sitting next to Fury and any other trainer really wouldnt be like that. He is sat there in the role as manager but he didnt like it and mainly because I think he knew full well Fury was going to bring up Thompson and Wlad and both losses can be attributed to Booth even if it was just down to poor conditioning, or letting your fighter compete with an injury.

Anothe Froch fight in November!! This is excellent news. I know where I'M going for my birthday!!

I think Groves could frustrate Froch because he is so fresh, sharp - has good head-movement IMO and is also a very focus fighter
However Carl is a very rangy fighter with that engine and so ultimately this fight should be a combination of Nino Benvenuti v Monzon 1 & 2

OK, so the co-promoter, the man that made the fight, was scared to sit with Fury, who the more shit he talks the more Booth profits, because Thompson or Wlad might me mentioned thus apparently causing Booth great embarrassment?

Fury is earning Booth a shitload of dough. Neither Booth or Peter Fury, Tyson's trainer, or Mick Hennessy, said a bad word about either fighter.

You read way too much into 60 seconds of body language. They're all in the same boat trying to sell as much tickets and PPV as possible

This a good fight. I have to agree with @armin. Too much, too soon for Groves. On the same note, credit to him for stepping up to the plate when he has the chance. Every boxer who goes against Froch has a chance at outboxing him, but it's hard to pick against him considering the wave he's been riding recently. Froch by dominating KO.
