If ggg fights froch without facing quillin first, bad mistake. He needs to take gradual steps before stepping up to an experienced champion like froch.

He needs to face stevens, quillin, tuneup at a higher weight then on to froch.. he can do all this by the end of next year if he stays busy.

Ggg has never fought anybody with the power to back him up...

I would rather see him beat top 160 pounders 1st before jumping to 168. Martinez, Quillin and Barker would be great to put on the record.

It is a shame for Golovkin that everyone avoids him at middleweight that he has to go to the next weight and have to try and beat a top fighter there.

Stevens might tell us something new about GGG, at least that's not a completely pointless fight. Assuming it goes as expected I think Quillin is about the only opponent for Golovkin at 160. Cant see Barker or Murray doing much for instance, those guys would be wiser to fight each other or look elsewhere entirely. Froch would be a great fight though, and not the error it would be moving right up for Ward imo.

Should add that I still think Groves has a decent chance to pull off the upset though, keep forgetting that fight is coming up.

The general thought here is to fight Quillan and then a 168 pound opponent and it's time for the fight for Froch and GGG.

    What is happening with Martinez?
