Trout - Lara is on !!!

This is on the undercard of Malignaggi - Judah, but no doubts this is the main event! Brilliant fight for the 154 division and it puts whoever wins up there at number 2 or 3. Hope trout can win this one, I've got a lot of time for Trout and how he's performed recently. Didn't think Lara was that good vs Angulo apart from the end. But I saw that as a close fight IMO. Think Trout will take this on points.

Great fight that makes it a really solid card. I think Lara will win this, Trout isn't going to pressure him and he's a bit technically better with more power imo.

All depends on which Lara shows up. I hate to say it but this could actually go the other way and stink up the place. I dont see the styles making that great a fight and the fact that they are both southpaws could make matters worse. Still a good fight to put on ratings wise but I'm not sure it will come close to Paulie/Judah. I'm with Tam on this one. Points win for Trout.

Great, I like watching Trout. Slick fighter. I really think he got a raw deal in the Canelo fight. I thought the fight could have been a draw. My main point is the scores were so in Canelos favor it was unrealistic. Trout didn't complain and complimented Canelo, ya gotta like that. Paulie I like to watch for his jab. All around a good thing. What is the date on this bad boy.

He had a chance. And did nothing about it. The scores showed him he was behind. So there was uncertainty. He needed a knock out to win. And never went for it. That's his fault. No one else's.

I don't even wanna hear how Trout isn't a knock out puncher or anything like that. Pernell Whitaker was less of a knock out puncher than Trout. Didn't stop him from trying it (and getting it) in the 11th round against Diobleys Hurtado. He was losing the fight and that was what was needed to get the win. And he did it. Trout never even tried to do it

I can see the draw if I tried hard enough. But that's besides the point. I just don't understand how some people say that knowing the scores some how hurt Trout. How? If anything they should of helped him. The scores showed him exactly what he needed to do to win. The fact that he didn't do it isn't the problem. That's understandable. The problem is he never even tried

Coin flip on what this turns into, a reluctant waltz or a nice contest of accurate punching and counters. I think Lara has a new chip on his shoulder and won't stay content to watch his work. Trout is a good dude and a great story, solid skills but off the Rodriquez and Alvarez fights I just don't see the mentality it'll take to put enough up close shots to equal hurt on Lara.

I think it hurt him because he knew he couldn't do his thing and settle into a boxing match. So he tried to lead and use volume.

But it's beside the point because he simply didn't do enough. Open scoring, normal scoring, whatever, he didn't win and he didn't deserve to win. The rest is just excuses.

this is a good fight that is made but im surprised people think it will be exciting. im sure it will be pretty boring. i cant see it being exciting at all. neither guy comes forward and they will both try to counter punch. i have a feeling that the fight will be a very slow pace with lara coming out with the victory.
