What next for Trout

I remember him saying before the Canelo fight that if he loses to Canelo he would need to start over. Now he loses his second fight. He appeared to have a bad performance last night. I was very bummed out to see him lose. What do you think he can do now. I don't know why he didn't choose a tune up fight as a lot of fighters do after a loss. I personally thought he would beat Lara instead Lara baffled him

I just don't know what he was thinking trying to out slick and box Lara like that Hope he takes some time and rebuilds with a booster or two, but these days he'll be brought right back in for some young gun for that scalp. He is an honest pro and good story. Hope he has a suprise or two left.

That was my first thought. It seems to make more sense for Trout than Kirkland though.

The network may push hard for it, but just don't know what it does in the bigger picture for a Trout. Off Lara he is clinging to relevance -but- has been on a world class level and used as a measuring stick there. Its clear Kirkland is a flawed ko waiting to happen though great tv. Maybe risk reward? if Trout still can afford it which I think he can. Trout still has the longer future if he plays it right, I'd aim higher after a off screen tune up
