Looks like seven-foot WBA heavyweight champion Nikolay Valuev is coming to the Windy City. Promoter Don King has selected the Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois, for Valuev's October 7 defense against Monte Barrett according to the Chicago Tribune.

Also fighting on the card are two Polish stars, drawing on the area's large Polish population. WBC light heavyweight champion Thomasz Adamek will face Paul Briggs and lightweight Matt Zegan takes on Nate Campbell.

Nearly 10,000 fight fans attended the Fernando Vargas-Javier Castillejo clash at the same venue last year. Tickets go on sale next week.

Monte has been out for a while, I hope he gets his spark back and supplies some shocking fireworks because he's going to have to KO Valuev to beat him (he's Don King's new cash cow)

Wlad is the man to unify it, not that I think he is phenominal but the sooner the belts are brought together the better...

At the moment all you need to do is beat any one of the very beatable belt holders and then you can say that you're the champ with out having to beat the man just because you have a strap.

Looking on the bright side of Rahman's last fight Don King is sliding out of the picture.

I agree man. This crap is for the birds. I'm so sick of the heavy weight division is crazy. I really hope Wlad unifies or something so we can start to get some clarification in the HW division. I was hoping Brock was going to be the savior but he's just so damn boring to watch so he won't bring any draw to the sport. I don't know my hands are up in the air with the HW division right until something happens.

That's the great thing about the heavyweights you can be totally fed up with them and then all of a sudden we have a fight like Wlad vs another title holder and everyone will be happy as long as it doesn't end in a draw.
