Froch is an ATG---he finds a way to win like Foreman did against Moorer or Marciano did against Walcott, he finds a way he is a classic puncher---awkward, off balance, wide shots, but he makes it happen. That is what an ATG is and does.

Uh, Kessler was an older fighter than the one that lost to Calzaghe and beat Froch, and Ward was not "bricking it" , he SCHOOLED Froch.

Yep, he was, you're quite right. So on that basis , Kessler's win over Froch should have more merit because they were BOTH younger and BOTH closer to their prime. Taking that further, surely Kessler is more deserving of being called a HOF or an ATG? Or doesn't it work like that ? I'd love to know.

Yeah I suppose beating free for the silver catch weight belt wouldn't get him in there.
I mean froch has set the standard now for what a great fighter is, it's not about being undefeated or how many fights you had because if Calzaghe or anyone had back to back 13 in a row against top 10 fighters they'd all be finished and retired now

That was Dirrell's fault. He only wanted to fight for 3 rounds and run the rest, not box, but run. Froch tried to make a game of it but he was too slow to hit Dirrell.

I agree Dirrell did not deserve it but Froch has fought better fighters than Joe during their respective careers but Joe would always beat him.
