Good find. Watching the Provod fight and certainly watching this, it's hard to give Chris a chance.
Manny must have been salivating when he beat Provod, he knew he had the right next opponent right there.
Bigger man George, bigger punch!

That was an entertaining fight better than a lot of MMA, Boxing and UFC.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Very bad sign which shots caused him trouble. The right uppercut and right hook from southpaw stance. There is vast differences between the forms of combat but this terrible matchup looks even worse after seeing this.
This looks early too. Not sure how much time there was between then and now, but the height disparity alone might be an issue for Pacquiao. Algieri's not exactly a hard charger so I wouldn't expect him to follow many around the ring like margarito did. Watching provo blow up the side of algieris face and drop him a few times... I wouldn't be surprised to see manny come out quick and try to blitz algieri while he's cold though.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

In kickboxing some people are apt to give up height and reach which he did and he backed up quite often too. That was a while back and since then learned to keep that jab out there but Manny will make him forget this with his south paw tactics. Experience is what Manny has going for him.
What's worse is that he was dominating, dropped the guy and was putting his shots together well then BANG.
Very nice find buddy.
This shows NOTHING of what his manny fight will be like, anyone who thinks it does is a idiot.
You say tomato,
‘n I say …… it correctly.
Whatever the combat the fact you get caught with the same uppercut years removed goes into the checklist
Like 3 second or so before he's caught he threw a kick, you think that may have a little relevance?
This is a great find, says something about his chin and which shot he may be vulnerable to, but he seemed to have his defences vs Provodnoskill and stayed for the most part, away from danger.
This is typical of boxing fans, yet they never learn, when something looks this one sided to everyone, it rarely is.

He was near off balance and attempted the roundhouse kick. But it was him catching two light feeler right uppercuts that saw him set for the finish. He committed to one side and was countered perfectly for finish. Unless Manny is shot to bits and has concrete in his boots, he is going to give Chris a brutal lesson in mobile boxing-punching. Can see Algeiri resorted to uncharacteristic brick thrower and raw guts alone before he falls.
I don't see it happening like that, although it's possible.
Algieri has avoided being KO so far, including against Provodnoskill who is a high, high pressure fighter, with a good punch.
Manny hasn't exactly been KOing people recently either.
Huge chance Manny will win, but it won't be anywhere near as one sided as you believe.

For the sake of we the fans, I def hope you are right about not being one sided. He did barely escape a 1st round ko and I really think that fight again revealed as much about what Provo is incapable of as much as what Algieri is capable of. Chris does some things well but he is also a very patchy posing boxer. He gets way too loose and has not looked to have a "middle" game over his last few fights. Either posing, shifting on the outside or going turtle shell and falling in. He reminds me of a guy who spends endless hours shadow boxing and then winking at himself in the bathroom mirror. I dunno, just don't think he is ready for a straight combo hitter of Mannys ilk. You don't need bone crunching power to ko someone, just make him tired of being hit clean. He's a good kid with a good story. Do hope its a good fight.
Cool find indeed, I actually quite like kickboxing it's sweet to watch. Not sure that means anything or not as Vendettos said, when you have the legs to worry about it's a whole different thing, and this was a long time ago.. Didn't Vitali get KOéd in a kickboxing fight as well? He's about as granite as a man gets.
It's not like we don't know Algeri won't be able to take Mannys best shot just from watching him box though, Provo rocked him pretty well a couple of times at least. He's going to need a hell of a game plan and a listless Pacquiao to make it a close fight imo.
