Default Do you support David price?

Do you want him to do well or are you waiting for him to fall on his back?

If Tony the Tiger was to fight him now would it still be the same ending?

Is price on the way up this time and can we see a another British heavyweight get the crack at Wlad or wilder?

I like him but he doesn't need support from me, he needs support from his chin.

He was boring last night but did well in the round that ended hum. Beating costa proves nothing, he needs a bigger test.

The truth I don't think Price is up to the job, he had a poor chin in the amateurs and the pro
game is a different ball game.
I just can't see him reaching the very top, he may be just above domestic level and that's about
it he's a nice guy, sorry but I think he has got to his limit.

Price is exciting , big punch and glass jaw , that is an exciting mix.

We need as many names in this division as possible as within the next couple of years unless more talent comes through its going to get boring again when and if everything is settled down again.

It seems like theres depth at the moment but its only because the titles have fractured now Vitali has retired and theres a handful of promising fighters o a similar level that will make a few good fights but once those fights are over where is the new talent?

    Yes I support him

And you'd be daft as a brush to totally decide his future on the Thompson fights

I think he and fury would be a 50/50 fight, fury hasbt fought a puncher, nor has he fought anyone capable of hittng him back

Not that I don't support fury, I just mean he is untested

More like 65/35 in favour of fury.

Fury has fought far better competition with youth on his side.

Price has the amateur background but fury is more suited in the professional game.

I like price and want him to do well as fury, price and joshua are the potential future world champions.

Haye is just waiting for wlad to retire.

I think Price could do well, and that Tony T. is a seriously underated fighter and was a step too far for him. If Price can get some confidence back he could be awesome. He is currently a mini version of Vlad, and as such could beat him on points in a boring fight. If you introduce the rough and tumble of Wilder or dare I say it Fury then he may have some problems. Sauerland has not made a bad pick in selecting him. He has to get up the rankings to then pick his moment with Joshua, at the moment I would say that Joshua is definitely more comfortable on the job than he is.

Seems like a nice guy but he has never struck me as a fighter for some reason. People thought the same thing with Wlad though. Lots of similarity's with the two beyond their dodgy chins. Once Wlad learned how to clinch and work from behind his size controlling the fight behind his jab with the big right high and ready to slam it he was a different fighter. Maybe Lennox could train him because I'm not aware of any other trainers that can teach the way Manny did. Even if there was I just think he might be short on the mind set to go along with it.

I really like Price, but he does look like he's a bit more worried about throwing punches.

BUT .. He's one of those fighters that can end any fight with a single punch so that means he could still do very well as long as he lands and can cover up well.

He wouldn't be the first glass jawed fighter to do well (example: The current best HW on the planet).

He is a really nice guy ..... And that's his real problem.

Lots of fighters jaws crumble when getting hit by a fully fledged heavyweight. Lots of very. Good fighters managed to work around having a poor chin, Wlad has done a masterful job of it.

I don't think his chin is REALLY his issue (though he thinks it is).

His issue is his current lack of confidence. He started off horribly tentative against a very very limited fighter on the weekend.

I like Price but fear that he’ll never fully recover from the Thompson defeats and will always have that doubt in the back of his mind when he comes under pressure.

I hope I’m wrong but on the world stage I just don’t think he has it.

Some good money to be made for him with Fury and / or Joshua showdowns though.

He could have chinned that guy out in one round but made the excuse about doing rounds, learning etc. I think his issue is a total lack of confidence too. It's like he has no killer instinct/viciousness about him.

If he keeps plodding along he'll land a big fight. Then what his trainer/team need to do is force him to watch Benn-Barkley on repeat throughout the training camp, then inform him the tactics are - fuck the tactics just rip the cunts head off.

I reckon price needs rounds more than most

I didn't watch the fight coz I'm in Barbados, if I was his trainer tho I'd be forcing him to go at least 5 or 6 rounds in every fight

He needs to know he can do that in his sleep
