    Default Canelo: "If Floyd wins the round from you with 3 punches, he's OK with that"

    Canelo Alvarez has just said that Floyd is hard to fight because he doesn't ever expose anything of himself whatsoever during the fight and takes no chances. He doesn't care how he wins or how he looks while winning. If he can win the round from you with only 3 punches, he's perfectly fine with that. He doesn't expose anything or try to give a beautiful fight.

    I sure hope the Pacquiao fight on May 2nd is alot more exciting than THAT.

    I think that is accurate but not necessarily a barb at Floyd. His fights can be boring but he doesn't get hit because he is so Damn good. He made Canelo look like a little kid, it was almost painful to watch. Hopefully Manny can put some leather on him.

    I was disappointed in Canelo's effort, he could have fought with more aggression and thrown more punches especially being the bigger fighter. I know Floyd is elusive but in reality there is no way Floyd is going to hurt Canelo and Saul should have made him work hard for his victory.

    What the hell else would anyone expect Canelo to say about Floyd??

    He (Canelo) got the schooling of the century, being made to look like an absolute clueless fool by Floyd.

    I definitely agree. When he said his plan was to "box" floyd. Someone should have taken him outside and shook him till the delirium wore off.
    They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

    I did not stay up all night until 5am in the hope of finally seeing Floyd get beat to see Canelo trying to out box Floyd.

    Saul was like a different fighter, was he shell shocked by the fame of floyd? Canelo went out like a biatch

    İ respect 'Calzaghe more than Floyd. Joe fought his ass off and threw megapunches. Floyd stinks the place out.

    Shame on you, whether you realize it or not, you just called Floyd a stinky winner. He'll probably hunt you down for that one! Lol

    After his 'fight' with Floyd, Canelo said, "I couldn't find him." Floyd wasn't playing hide and seek, Canelo didn't have the speed, skill, or desire to close with Floyd the way Miadana did.
    It's simple to me and as obvious as the nose on your face, against a fighter like Canelo, Floyd is wildly, fabulously, stinky good.

    I doubt he can do that with Manny as Manny gives tons of punches. Floyd will have to try something or Manny will solely win by landing more punches, even if these are glancing hits.

    There's no rules against it, the point is to WIN, not make it look pretty. Gatti had some amazing fights, but he suffered plenty of defeats because of his "thrilling style"

    Yup, it's about style. If Floyd fought with a Gatti like style he probably would have had to retire many years ago.

    Here's The CompuBox break down of the punch stats from Canelo's fight with Floyd.

    It's not a matter of Floyd winning rounds by 3 punches. It's about how much he makes his opponents miss and then punishes them.

    +++++++++++Floyd Mayweather Jr +++++ Saul Alvarez
    punches thrown.................... 505 ++++++++++++ 526
    punches landed..................232 (46%) +++++++++ 117 (22%)
    jabs thrown...........................330 ++++++++++++ 294
    jabs landed.......................139 (42%) ++++++++++ 44 (15%)
    power punches thrown...........175 +++++++++++++ 232
    power punches landed..........93 (53%) ++++++++++ 73 (31%)
    punches thrown x minute.........14 +++++++++++++ 14.6
    punches landed x minute..........6.4 ++++++++++++ 3.25

    Anytime you lose a round to a guy landing just three punches that says more about how unprepared and in over your head you really are. Canelo fought a dumb fight. I don't think he has a good idea of his identity even today.
