the twenty-one-year-old american power punching jr. welterweight prospect is eight & zero, all by way of knockout as a pro. said to have had an outstanding amateur record of two hundred & seventy-eight wins, with eleven loses. ernesto finished first in numerous u.s. boxing national tournaments, recording several prominent victories over the likes of malik warren, haven brady & aaron aponte. was an olympic alternate. went undefeated in the fights he competed in at the olympic trials. ‘tito’ recorded a sixth-round stoppage over veteran former world title challenger jayson velez in his last fight, after his opponent didn’t come out for the seventh round. it was also the first time ‘tito’ had gone past two rounds as a pro. he earned the naba silver super lightweight title with the victory. ernesto says he can make lightweight for the right fights. ‘tito’ is currently a promotional free agent, although several major promoters have shown interest in his talent. please take a look

It’s interesting that Keyshawn Davis and Mercado, two excellent prospects from the same amateur class, have taken such different professional paths. Keyshawn Davis is now a bona fide contender. Where as Mercado is only known to the boxing nerds. For me ? Mercado doesn't impress me as much as Davis but this boxing and there have many great fighterss who probably would not pass the eye test (Hopkins, Ward)

keyshawn has his recent win over contender gustavo lemos, tito doesn't have a name like that yet on his record. it was only a few fights ago that keyshawn was looking ordinary against nahir albright
