for the 1st one, yeah. don't wanna go at it too hard and long until your body gets used to it more.
sparring 2nd week isn't to early IMO, unless it's full contact. if it's meant to be beneficial to the boxers (learning experience), then it should be okay. just don't go nuts and hurt the guy, and neither should he to you
Congrats on your first successfull session, my first session was two days ago and it was very similar to yours, except we didnt jump rope.
fair play guys always good to hear new people joining the game.
fitness is the key the fitter u are the harder u can train.
We did sparring in my first session. We ran through the stance and defences then some of the more experience lads wnet in the ring with me and threw some soft left hands and move me around a bit.
ye its like tht if we ever have to spar with the girls ur told to go easy on them also if ur in with someone who isnt as experienced u shud go easier them anyway as whats the point in just battering someone who isnt or cnt fight bk
I learn more going easy on a new person... treat them like a punch bag and you'll learn as much as you'd learn from a punch bag :P
you can work on your defence alot better if u dont throw much bk and let them just come at u
