White males are out. White females are on the outs. Anything expensive, say a nice watch etc. Are evil. Poor is cool, money is bad. It seems the new american is an unattractive transgender person. How did this happen? Was it really Obama who got us to this point.

I dunno. I think one side of America couldn't see whats wrong ...until they were held accountable.

sides/races/ethnicitis/genders/social statuses/religions/denominations/ partisanship/ classes to sexual orientation have been blamed, accused and or held accountable for what has become of the so-called image of an American Hero.

The cowboy defeating the red indian is no longer the great Hero.

Elliot Ness & The Untouchables taking down the mafia...no longer the heroes. Today, everybody wants a mafia: Chinese Mafia, Jamaican Mafia, Russian Mafia.
Today the good guy is a punk at worst or just....a nice guy at best.
In that sense walrus.....I agree with your question of what has become of the hero.

Preachers who are humble have been traded in for the million dollar televangelist. .so the men of the cloth have subsequently all labeled as demagogues. The Christian today is seen as anything....but a hero.


These images were changed long before Obama.
Obama imo just welcomed the final group to a life of disparaging images that made so many of us feel.......we could never be a vision of an American Hero.
