    Question What If...

Conor McGregor gets fucked up tonight? I thought he looked gaunt at the weight-in
He commented on Floyd’s appearance but Mayweather actually looked great.
We know Conor is going to be taking a lot of clean head punches,
From a guy who has the power to hurt him but probably not knock him cold.
Conor will be getting hit clean and this is a guy who’s not used to getting hit
And he’s never been anywhere near this level before in his life.

Apparently, he was sparring (with low level guys) wearing 16oz gloves
As well as headgear so he’s not really prepared for what’s going to happen.
Imagine if Conor ended up seriously hurt in such a high-profile fight
That would be damaging for Boxing.

Usually in a fight like this the nearer it gets the more I give the other guy a chance
But in this fight, I can’t see any other outcome than Conor looking terrible
Taking everything Floyd lands flush and just being humiliated.

Don’t get me wrong I can’t stand the guy and he deserves to get embarrassed
He also could do with a beating! Maybe a broken nose, fractured eye socket
Or a shattered jaw (through a few broken ribs in for good measure)
But if he ends up with life changing injuries (which is very possible)
Then that damages the sport massively.

Floyd does not have the one punch power to cause that much damage but he can humiliate Conor and force a stoppage by the ref.

If Conor goes the distance then that is a victory for him.

Floyd should be immediately be given a slap by every active boxer in the ring as public humiliation to the sport.

With such an obvious mismatch I can't help thinking they've got some kind of controversial stunt up their sleeves. Though don't ask exactly what. Maybe an accidental "sucker-elbow".

I mean what else would compensate for the sheer obscenity of the whole thing? Other than that there's nothing.

After today I'll be avoiding this forum for about a week till I manage to watch the full fight.

Why you know Floyd will win.

This has been such a circus from the beginning that I can't help thinking the 'fight' won't be straightforward either.

Rather than there being a clear winner, what are the chances of a DQ, a premature stoppage or some sort of controversy that leaves fans feeling cheated somehow?

Yup this what I'm thinking, I can't help that Conor will somehow end up winning, maybe Floyd picks up an injury or a bad cut or something I don't know.

I just know that in boxing the opposite of what I want usually happens so I'm fully expecting the unexpected

Same conditions as Holly Holm vs Rhonda Rousey. History repeating.

Those are my final predictions for the fights tonight

I think it's good for boxing if Mcgregor gets seriously hurt. It will prevent anything like this from happening again. People will start to understand that boxing is a serious sport and non professionals shouldn't do it

Floyd can not hurt anyone just humiliate them. That would probably be better.

If you hit someone enough times, you will for sure do damage

Eubank jr hasn't got KO power and we know what happened to one of his opponents.

Floyd is the best opponent for Conor.

Canelo, Cotto or even Pac would spark Conor out in 2 rounds.

Floyd is obviously better than all the above but he wants to embarrass him and take him deep.

Nice! I reckon you should split it with me if it comes in
We’ll call it gambling tax. I gotta bet it now myself just in case.

Floyd isn’t that feather fisted. He’s got decent power but he’s not a great finisher
However, he’s fighting a guy tonight who has terrible defence and poor endurance
I also question the heart of McGregor, I think he’s a loud mouth bully
Who’ll quit when things get too tough for him.

I will have to hide the money away in an offshore account then(I'll tie the cash to buoy:S) to avoid these taxes :S

anyway as for mayweathers power, he is a pretty small guy I think even to fight at 147 and he has been fighting really big guys like alvarez, maidana(and now macgregor:S) or really top class fighters like cotto or pacman, so it's no wonder his ko percentage has been really low recently... Of course he isnt a huge puncher like canelo can be but he has good technique and is always in great condition so he will certainly hurt you. I guess not stopping berto or guerrero could be considered disappointing though, although as far as i remember geuerro was going well at that time and has proved to be pretty tough
