No disrespect to Kelly Pavlik here, but he won his world titles from a disinterested Jermaine Taylor, lost them to an ancient scuffler and made a total of about 3 defences.

He was a tall middleweight, good chin and decent power.

In no way does that record compare to a guy who went 345-5 (or 8) as an amateur, won an Olympic silver medal, and annihilated a generation of middleweights while making 19 defences.

Golovkin would walk through Kelly, and because he wouldn't have to go looking for him, he would pulverise him within 6.

Very were capable guy, let down by his body because he was avoided so much he was already old by the time he won the world title.

Yes that's about right tho the night Sergio won the title from Pavlik, I think he could have beaten GGG as well. Maybe. Pavlik was no joke and would have been tough for GGG early on but man that constant pressure Golovkin applies is something else.

I really think Golovkin folds Pavlik up on the inside. Kelly was long but deliberate and his feet flat. Tough sob though
