Ok so first, Miss America dropped the swimsuit competition from its program. Now an NBA franchise will be covering up its cheerleaders a bit more. According to a team official:

"We want the focus to be on the dancers as artists and to highlight their skills, not be eye candy or sexualized,"

Seems we're reverting back to the 50's here. Maybe even further back.



Oh well....... as long as they don't mess with the boxing ring card girls (or the Tecate girls).

Aw c'mon @Master ... ring card girls are as old, well..... they've been around for awhile. Seriously what's the harm in that. Been to lots of fight cards with my buddies, and we always have a good time between rounds taking turns with the binoculars. What's wrong with a little harmless distraction, especially if the fight itself is a little slow?

If they take away the ring card girls, boxing will surely die.
