Default Does a Pascal vs Fonfara fight make sense?

Pascal’s retirement was short lived, and he’s returned, fighting around the cruiser limit.

Fonfara moved up to cruiser recently, with a win over Sillah.

With most of the other guys tied up, does this match make sense for both?

The winner could use a win to get into an eliminator type fight.

Fonfara instantly became a favorite of mine when he made JCC Jr. quit on his stool for Junior's only stoppage loss.
But I honestly don't see much future for him at cruiser, and would favor Pascal over him, even if Pascal is just moving up to cruiser himself.

It makes sense for both fighters I think. The winner will boost their stock a little bit. It will most likely make them a relevant again (not super relevant though). The loser is completely done.

It would be a good fight as well. I think their styles would blend nicely.

Pascal has never backed down from a challenge, nor has Fonfara. They both have a little bit of name value remaining. It would make for a nice undercard type fight.

I was never impressed with Fonfara but he won me over eventually by taking on anyone he could and showing heart. His heart could only take him so far though.

I'm not saying either is a world beater (especially at this stage) but it could be an entertaining fight between evenly matched fighters. I'd rather see these guys in competitive fights, than over matched, mis-matches.
