    Default Sulaiman hypocrisy

    https://www.secondsout.com/news/davi...-become-champ/

"David Benavidez Finally Becomes World Champion Again After Rival Vacates Belt To Avoid Fight"

    Interesting.

Mauricio Sulaiman has officially confirmed that he has made David Benavidez WBC world light heavyweight champion, in light of the decision by Dmitry Bivol to forego a fight against Benavidez.

This is also covered in another thread on the forum. https://www.saddoboxing.com/boxingfo...=93274&page=12

Presumably, as the thread also states, the reason is because Bivol wants to pursue a trilogy fight against Beterbiev. Something perfectly understandable, given the close nature of the previous two fights and the fact that they are 1-1 against one another.

    So far so good, right?

Here is the social media post by Sulaiman on the situation:

"I have just received a cold and impersonal notification from Dmitry Bivol lawyer, Patrick English, with arguments that are so ridiculous that I rather not discuss informing the WBC that Dmitry Bivol has decided to relinquish his WBC light heavyweight championship. We wish Bivol success and hereby confirm David Benavidez as WBC world light heavyweight champion"

    Interesting.

Sulaiman, acting decisively after Bivol declined his mandatory, instantly proceeded to make Benavidez champion. Even taking the time to squash the arguments made by Bivol's camp.

    Yet...

Where the fukk was this decisiveness when Benavidez was Canelito's mandatory??!??

WBC President Mauricio Sulaiman declared at the 2022 WBC convention that the winner of the bout between former IBF super-middleweight world champion Caleb Plant and David Benavidez would become the mandatory for Canelo Alvarez. Benavidez won the fight, but Sulaiman never ordered the match.

Against bogus and shitty arguments that Benavidez had moved up to light heavy..... the fact of the matter is that Benavidez fought (and beat) Demetrius Andrade at super middle a full 8 months after beating Plant. It wasn't until more than a year after Plant that Benavidez (finally fed up with the We Blow Canelo protection of Ginger).... after Sulaiman had DECLARED that Benavidez was Ginger's mandatory..... that Benavidez eventually moved up to light heavy.

You see... a lot is made on here about the fact that some of us hate on fighters. But facts are facts, they perdure forever... and they provoke the hate.
Reason why Canelo is disdained even by many hardcore Mexican fans.

Canelo... long after his eventual retirement... will always be known for being the chickenshit who blatantly ducked Benavidez with the full protection of the We Blow Canelo organism headed by that son of the family of hypocrites... Mauricio Sulaiman.

So the head of We Blow Canelo blatantly ignored his own mandate for Canelo to face Benavidez... but acts decisively to crown Benavidez as champion after Bivol declines to fight him, probably for reasons that make a lot of sense.

Bivol presumably passed on Benavidez to fight Beterbiev a 3rd time... hardly a small challenge.

Canelo passed on Benavidez to fight who??

Ok... he fought John Ryder shortly after the Benavidez-Plant fight.

But after that he fought who??!??

Tiny Jermell Charlo, from two weight divisions down.

You can't make this shit up.

Crazy irony is Bivol beat the brakes off of Canelo. But cash cow is cash cow unfortunately. But big picture this was all telegraphed via Turki needing strongarming wanting the trilogy right off. The beefing between the two power brokers has spilled out with Sulaiman and Turki. Meanwhile Benavidez is overshadowed with the "e mail champ" nonsense and yet again left stewing in the on deck circle. A qualified now fellow champ nonetheless. I have no doubt in my mind that Benavidez will fight anyone if presented.

If we get Benavidez vs winner finally then I'm ok with the wait...but that better happen. More like we see Benavidez vs Smith in the meantime maybe.

Sulaiman wanted to penalise Bivol for being from Russia. So the champ will not be doing Sulaiman any favours.

Bivol owes Turki so he is just being loyal and he will get far more money which helps.

Hey I know all boxing orgs have skeletons in the closet and have had their share of eyebrow-raising decisions.

But damn... the We Blow Canelo, I mean... World Boxing Council is blatant about their biases, favoritism, and evidently... even their dislikes.

They're the flagship of everything that is wrong with boxing today.
