Has there been a fights that have happende like this? A pro broxer vs a pro mma fighter.
I think a really good boxer would easily beat a mma fighter because mma fighters are not as disaplined as a boxer with their punches and foot work.

Boxers don't really stand a chance... even at kickboxing unless they actually change their style into a kick boxing style simply because either they can't were shoes and can't push off for any of their punches or they do where shoes and they are not allowed to kick at which point the kickboxers just do leg shots until the boxer goes down.
man it depends on what rules ...if a boxer doesnt knwo how to wrestle and is in the cage hes F**edOriginally Posted by cringer

I get what your saying about the kick boxing, but if you a had a really good boxer, he would be able to feint, knows how to use his foot work and reach. And if you ever see the fights in ufc, fighters just rush with their punches and dont feint each other. A boxer would be able to counter their punches.
I don't remember their names, but I saw a mma fight recently with a recent boxer turned mma fighter.
Went up against a great mma fighter and really stood his own for much of the fight.
On their feet, the boxer put up a great showing against the favoured true mma fighter, but with all that ground fighting and grappling and knee shots and whatnot he looked very hopeless on the canvas.
yea its not that boxers are any less sharp or anything ..u just have to be a master at several disciplines INCLUDING pugilism in MMA where as boxing is a pure sport..and they have no need to learn how to grappleOriginally Posted by meowza
They both cannot survive in each other's elements. Just a pure boxer wouldn't last very long in a cage with a grappling MMA fighter(if they don't land first) and an MMA fighter has little to no chance in a boxing ring. Last MMA fighter I saw in a boxing ring wanted to touch gloves whenever the other guy hit him hardEven when he knocked him down!!

Yup.
More times than not, I'd pick the true fighter to win it in their trained game.
True boxer is at a higher advantage in boxing and vice versa.
