Default Naoya Inoue v Alan David Picasso Romero

Naoya Inoue will defend his undisputed super-bantamweight world championship against Mexico's Alan David Picasso Romero on 27 December in Saudi Arabia.

The event will feature the best of Japanese boxers, including Junto Nakatani, who is moving up in weight.

Nakatani, a world champion at bantamweight, faces Sebastian Hernandez in his debut at super-bantamweight.

The unbeaten 27-year-old will hope to secure a shot against Inoue with a big win.

Inoue, 32, maintained his perfect record, extending it to 31-0, by beating Uzbekistan's Murodjon Akhmadaliev last Sunday.

Also on he undercard is Japan's Kenshiro Teraji, who takes on IBF super-flyweight champion Willibaldo Garcia.

Teraji, 33, lost his WBA and WBC flyweight titles to Ricardo Sandoval in his last outing and will attempt to become a three-weight world champion against Garcia.

The 35-year-old Garcia has six losses and two draws in 32 bouts, while Teraji has just two defeats in 27 fights.

There could also be a third world title bout between Briton Jazza Dickens and unbeaten prospect Hayato Tsutsumi.

Dickens the holds the interim WBA super-featherweight title and could be upgraded to world champion by the end of the year, with current champion Lamont Roach Jr considering his options for his next bout.

Dickens, 34, has five defeats in 41 fights and faces the highly-rated but inexperienced Tsutsumi, who is undefeated in eight bouts.

An all Japanese card titled "Night of the samurai" held in Saudi Arabia Nakatani has vacated his wbc and ibf straps in preparation for the massive mega match vs Inoue. At least let us hope!

I have bought a Ring magazine for the first time in years with Inoue and Nakatani on the cover.

Can't upload it on here but it will be the big fight for 2026.

This is the last big event of the year and really looking forward to this card.

ring has been slack lately. they put a picture of another fighter, instead of reito tsutsumi in that issue
