    Default magee-froch

    Magee-Froch is switched to London

Belfast's Brian Magee will take on Carl Froch at Bethnal Green
Brian Magee's bout against Commonwealth and British super middleweight champion Carl Froch on 26 May has been moved from Belfast to London's Bethnal Green.
Magee surrendered home advantage as a major bill featuring Scott Harrison, Eamonn Magee and Amir Khan is being staged in Belfast six days before that.

The Froch fight is the first of Magee's four-fight deal with Frank Maloney.

Promoter Maloney said Magee accepted it was not fair on Belfast boxing fans to have two bills so close together.

Magee said: "Froch may think he has won because the fight has been moved to London.

"But I will make him pay for pulling out of the original March date by knocking him out in the mid-rounds. First off all, I will take the sting out of the Cobra before I flatten him."

    will magee do this

I'm not a big fan of either, but I reckon Magee will stop Froch

Definitely hope magee shuts him up. I don't think he has the power to stop Froch though.

Magee couldn't have picked a worse time to be facing the cobra. Now well and truly fully recovered from his hand injury and recent bicep problem, in Magee he faces the first step up in class which he needs to show the world his true ability. Taking Westerman too lightly is possibly exactly what he needed to hammer home that classy attacking won't stop him getting hit. (Though he also showed he can take big hits). People say he's gone quiet since then. That is becasue he realises time for games are over and nothing but a blazing display against magee will be acceptable for him and his ambitions. We've seen him walk through fights as if not really interested - magee most certainly won't be facing that carl froch on the 26th. He will have his game face on. Though he may not be popular (god knows why not as people should see through his words as media hype - people forget how many respectful comments he has made about clazaghe as a fighter) his talent cannot be doubted and i'm sure we won't see the cocky defenceless froch against magee on the 26th. We will see a ferocious, intense display by a fighter who will be so prepared and focused for this fight that magee will look like he's got no right to be in the ring with him.

(Though he also showed he can take big hits).

Dale Westerman!!? hes knocked out 7 from 21 fights, hardly a big hitter

Didnt Froch havem alot of trouble with the very basic Charles Adamu?

If Froch cant beat or knock down 4 times Magee then hes not as good as the past it Reid.

Whoever posted this must have some sort of stake in Froch and if you do Haugh is there anything to the rumor that he'll be fighting Reid ?

PS, I notice hes shut up the b*llsh*t about being the best sportsman in England and fighting Calzaghe
