    Default Where to for Joe?

He's not really got that many options,Markus Beyer is getting on a bit and won't want to fight him,RJJ is 37 and will he drop down,Tarver-doesn't exactly fill you with anticipation,Hopkins is 41 and not the guy he was and Kessler is kinda unknown as far as a big money fight!
To me Kessler is the best fight from a pure boxing scenario but the rest just seem money match ups.Whattdya think?
I will die at my post , on the streets or in prison

Calzaghe only picked the slowest, and least experienced of the title holders like Lacy,he will never fight Kessler
Super Middleweight also acknowledge as Kessler's Kingdom when Calzaghe has retire

Joe has reached his peak, physically he is breaking down, he has been in this sport an awful long time.

A homecomming at the Millennium stadium in the summer, against an easy fringe contender, should be what he does next. Then look for one big money fight, (Hopkins or Jones), and then retirement, is what I would plan if I was Calzaghe

Kessler would be a stylistic nightmare for Calzaghe. Quick powerful hands and a safe cautious style with the best jab of the SMW. It is almost impossible to win a fight against Kessler on points and I doubt that Calzaghe would be able to stop Kessler. Kessler is also much physical stronger than Calzaghe, so Joe would not be able to bully Kessler around as he did against Lacy. I would give it 70-30 in favour of Kessler.

Kessler has looked good so far, but to say he is 70-30 favourite against Calzaghe just made me fall of my chair laughing my arse off!!

So would you give me them odds if they fought because im thinking of getting a big bank loan. Listen mate Kessler would be a nightmare for Calzaghe have a look at the match up from the other shoe, who has Kessler fought that resembles Calzaghe?? No one who is anywhere near the hand speed and condidtioning of Calzaghe, you say its impossible for Calzaghe to win on points How do you work that out, he throws more leather in twelve rounds than any other fighter at 168. I agree kessler is an awkward physically strong man but as Lacy found out very quickly you cant jump from fighting has beens like Pemberton to elite fighters like Calzaghe, Kessler is fighting Middleweight Joppy next who has been beaton by much smaller men and was mauled around the ring like a rag doll against little man Felix Trinadad. I feel Kessler needs to up his level of opponent quite a bit before he even thinks of fighting Joe Calzaghe.

    I'm a huge Kessler fan...but I aint a blind gotdam idiot.

Kessler needs to stand back & wait on Calzaghe to move up...which is exactly what I believe that he is doing...no shame in that either.

    Calzaghe would defeat Kessler kids...no if's, and's, or but's.

    Sorry...but he would.

Kessler has power...but Lacy had power too.

Kessler is a better boxer than Lacy...but he aint a better boxer than Joe.

Kess should match either Beyer, Lacy, or the winner of Green Mundine...which is what I see him doing...the last one...the winner of Green Mundine.

Well, I guess that a lot of people had the Lacy-Calzaghe 70-30 in favour of Lacy, so doing the same for Kessler should be quite wiser.

Kessler had fought Mundine who has the fastest hands of SMW, so I do not think that Calzaghe’s speed would be a problem for Kessler and Kessler is not slow himself either.

About Kessler’s opponents there is just to say that he took his title from Ring’s no. 2 at the time and defended it abroad against Ring’s no. 3 at the time – is that not strong competition?

The latest news here in Denmark is that Joppy is out of the picture for the next fight.
