    Default Mundine Sr Quits Camp...

Greetings all - it's good to be back online. I've had a horror month: I moved house and had to wait a full month for the connection of my home telephone line, hence no internet. Now I'm suffering on a cursed interim dial-up plan until I get the broadband sorted out!!!!!!!

I heard that Tony Mundine has quit Anthony's camp just a month out from the all-Australian showdown with Danny Green. Now, I've been telling everybody I know to bet on Anthony Mundine, just because of the fact I think that if Green struggled with Beyer's handspeed then Mundine will give him fits...

But if Tony has quit camp then what does this say about Anthony's preparation?? Surely to fuck Mundine would not be taking shortcuts in preparation for the biggest fight of his career, perhaps the biggest fight in Australian boxing history. One thing about Green is that he alway prepares 100%, so if Mundine has been lacksadaisical in camp, Green will find him out...

Anybody else know exactly why Tony quit??

    Wow - didn't know that...

But still, I've never really rated Roy Sr as a coach - especially after some of the things Jr used to say about him.

I could have trained Roy Jones Jr and he still would have been great - the man had freakish natural talent.

I know Mundine sparred with Jr late last yr I think...

Well Mundine worked with Roy Jones in camp last time out. So If Roy Sr is coming this could be good.

I don't know - Tony has been in Anthony's corner his whole career. Is this the time to try something new??

I have a feeling it could be that tony is sick of playing second fiddle to jones sr. Or maybe tony isnt happy with somethings in training? A good as tony has been with mundine....you have to remember he is the guys dad and dads IMO shouldnt train their sons professionally. I think mundine would of prepared for this fight, he knows how big it is. This could be a publicity stunt, its only 4 weeks away from the fight. As long as mundine brings his A game he should beat green.

One thing the Mundine's have done well since day one is market their fighter. Tony will be in the corner come fight night I'd bet on it.

From what I can gather Jones Snr pushed his son to his limits, something that Anthony could only benefit from. Maybe old man Mundine is to soft on his spoilt prodigal son.
