To be honest, my dad has a pair and I've tried them. I don't like them. They seem to weigh more than wraps. I didn't like the way my gloves fit. And my trainer won't let people wear them in sparring.
I'd stick to some good old mexican style hand wraps. Like normal wraps but with some stretch to them.
They just feel weird to me. They may save your hands, but after so many years of feeling the pop and thud, its a weird feeling to the squish and boing.....maybe its unfair, but i took em off after like 2 seconds. Maybe just me being stubborn, old school...but... they just werent me. I wanna feel the full impact on my hands and with those.. i just dont.
They want your @$$ beat because upsets make news. News brings about excitement, excitement brings about ratings. The objective is to bring you up to the tower and tear your @$$ down. And if you don't believe that, you're crazy.

well ya never know .. what works for one person, may not work for another... See if your can find a place to try em out, i know they just feel right for me. I think they are endorsed by Jeff Lacey or something so maybe he knows something the rest of us don't. (we can be sure its not defense, maybe its something else)Originally Posted by raleights
