Default Which up-and-coming HW is most likely to become champ?

What I mean is to become the REAL champion like Wladimir Klitschko, not just a beltholder.

Wladimir Klitschko, whose significant other is expecting a baby girl, says he will be retiring soon.

Who is most likely to replace him as the HW champ?

    Deontay Wilder
    Anthony Joshua
    Bryant Jennings
    Andy Ruiz
    Joseph Parker
    Vyacheslav Glazkov
    Tyson Fury
    Luis Ortiz

2015 will be an interesting year for the HW division.

I just hope the promoters, managers, and fighters are willing to make the kind of matchups fans want to see.

And I hope there won't be all the cancelling/postponing we've suffered through in 2015.

I haven't seen Joseph Parker yet, does he look really good? Of the rest I think Joshua shows the most promise in the long run by quite a margin. Ortiz looks handy and dangerous but he's already 35 himself, if he doesn't happen to get a Wlad fight in the next year or so it's hard to see him as any kind of successor, although he could well beat anyone else on that list if the fights happened soonish. Mind you any combination of those guys fighting each other should answer some questions, it would be nice to see some better fights at HW for sure. Wilder-Stiverne and Ortiz-Chagaev are good tests for the hopefuls at least.

You can depend on Don King to do the best thing for boxing and the fans.

You could be right but I'm still hoping Wilder can make it. I thought you would want Hughie on that list, seein as how we are talking about potential?

Joshua is easily the best up-and-coming heavyweight. He seems to be a well-rounded fighter: size, speed, technical skills, power, reach, footwork, etc. He still needs a bit of work on his defense.

There's a very good chance he will become the next heavyweight champion after Wladimir retires (the real champion, not just a titleholder).

Jemmings is gonna win a title... in fact, I give him a better shot at beating Stiverne than Wilder has beating Stiverne.

I think Wilder is gonna get knocked out against Stiverne.
