    Default Shave

I hate shaving, the worst job to do in the morning. How do you shave? I have been having problems with my shaving method so wanted to know how you do it and does it work for you. How often do you do it? Wet shave, use foam, use after shave, cream etc.

I wet shave a couple of times a week, the rest of the time I use my trimmer, to just keep it at a tidy length

Me too mate...bloody hate it though. If I leave it for the third day, it starts to get noticably long and people ask if I've shaved.

I'm the same. Two days is ok, the third day just looks like overgrown stubble.

I hate shaving. You can normally tell if I'm on holiday/ being lazy as I grow a shit beard. I still couldn't grow a full blown beard if I wanted. Despite an onslaught of grey hair (none in the beard I hasten to add) my beard still doesn't join in the right places.

I find shaving night times means less shaving rash than mornings. Some one told me its due to your face being puffy in the morning after sleeping. I have considered designer stubble as an alternative, but have never bothered buying a shaving thing.

Nothing beats a good shave! I use oil & cream applied with a badger hair brush and as for aftershave it MUST be alcohol free because alcohol dries the skin and makes you look old. The brand I use is called 'The Art of Shaving' and the oil & cream have a sandalwood scent to them. Perfect stuff really, never any razor burn or dry skin and leaves my face smooth as silk.

If I had a steadier hand and more time I would use a straight razor because that's the best shave you can get! And a hot towel treatment after....oh, very nice, a great shave will make you look and feel like a million bucks!

Just warm water and simple razor every morning. 1/4 inch mini electric around eyes and ears.

Wish I could boast the same...I'm like James and his patchy beard...and I have a gap between the two sides of my tache, meaning that Movember is out for me too.

I shave once a week, once without foam/gel then once with straight after. Sounds odd but it works for me.

Im with Lyle on the quality shaving, if there was a local Barber that did a good shave with a straight razor I'd dispense with shaving all together and get someone else to do it, it'd be worth it. Actually probably work out cheaper than buying razor blades.

Hell yeh, if I let things go my eyebrows start looking like the last days of Andy Rooney (rip) over here. The odd random single hairs that sprout up drove me batshit. We all have that one that you have to monitor overtime. I get one that takes about three weeks to poke out between the eyes but if you miss it next thing you know I'm walking around like a damn unicorn! Keep the center of focus area clean and foliage free!

Ah, I see. I've got one hair which is halfway between my eyebrow and sideburns, and is completely white, and usually gets to about an inch in length before I notice it and pull it out.
