Amir Khan Could See Potential Move To 154-Pounds - Boxing News
Khan is still delusional.
To be fair Amir looks a HUGE WW and naturally very healthy.
I really really don't see why he gets so much stick, so what if he's vulnerable it just adds to the excitement for me, he's got the heart of a Lion and is always willing to fight and pretty much always has you on the edge of your seat.
Let's be totally honest here the kid is still only 28 and has been pro for 10 years and given us some absolutely amazing and dramatic fights along the way and is without doubt one of the most exciting and entertaining and bravest fighters the UK has ever produced.
Everytime he's been put on his ass (apart from Prescott as it was waved off) he just get's back up and fires back straight away.
I don't recall a UK fighter going to the USA and giving us a real fight that had me screaming at the tv as much as Khan v Maidana did in a very long time , if ever.
That was an amazing fight that had everything![]()
More garbage misleading headlines. Khan says he can see moving up to 154... "towards the end of my career". He's 28 now. The end of his career could be 8-10 years away.
He might as well have said "I am going to retire 10 years down the road" and the article been "KHAN CONTEMPLATES RETIREMENT!!!"
David Lemieux = Future MW Champ and P4P King
Who fuckin cares anyway? the guy is an entertainer , I'll give you that. Only he's more of a comedian than boxer. Most boxers go up the weights either because they've physically outgrown the weight or they've mopped up the division. Khan seems to go up in weight after he gets beat! gets ironed out by Prescott - Moves up in weight , gets beat by Peterson and Flattened by Garcia - Moves up in weight . At this rate he'll end up becoming the first person ever to get ko'd in every division from Lightweight through to Heavyweight!![]()
Why? He still fights the same. Seems to me he would actually do better. If you buy into "Heavier is slower" and apply it to Khan, then I understand your reasoning, but I would apply it to weightclass of fighters rather than Khan moving into the class. Sure the hand is heaver, but the risk of getting caught is less or the same. Makes his fights more exciting if you want to see a knockout.
Khan has very little power at welterweight and will have less at light middle. His punch resistance will always remain the same which is vulnerable.
he will have long retired before going up in weight unless to pay off a retirement.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
Khan is out of his mind....
Bigger man George, bigger punch!
