Holyfeild was one of the biggest hypocrites to ever have a public stage. He came in the ring singing about God and such, but in private he was nothing more than a sleazy man whore just like Tyson. I love watching both men fight. They are both exciting fighters with a lot to offer by way of entertainment value. Tyson would've beat Holyfield if they would have fought in the early 90's like they we're suppose to. Not sure he would've KO'd him, but he would have won. The fact that holyfeild is just NOW officially retiring shows how pathetic his money managment was. This goes for so many fighters though and it is very sad. The luxury and ease with which fans judge a man outside of the ring is numbing. Any of you gents want to submit your own bank stubs and court dealing for scrutiny Tyson blah blah woulda coulda shoulda...well, he didn't. Holyfield hung on too long and should have gone after arguably beating the man wookie Valuev. He was every bit a heavyweight in competition and what he layed out in the ring against an era of heavyweights we only wish we had today.

Agree 100% Spicoli. Holy was the greatest Cruiser ever and an ATG top ten heavyweight. I'm a big fan of both Mike and Evander, and think both had their struggles n mistakes like the rest of us. While Tyson was more dominant during his reign, he benefitted from a weaker heavyweight division, where Evander fought all do the best from the second best Heavy class of all time. Head to head Evander beats Mike every time, which isn't to say that Mike is a bum, just that Evander was made to beat guys like Tyson n was the better fighter overall. While he had women issues n stayed around too long, Evander was a class act in my opinion n one if the greatest warriors to ever step in the ring.

Absolutely agree on all counts. From the Tyson fans there has been a lot of major history revisionism. Holyfield was considered to be a shot fighter or close to being shot going into the 1st fight especially after gassing out in his 3rd fight with Bowe and looking lackluster in the Bobby Cyz fight, and many people were concern about the man's health and well being. Not only that, but Tyson had just regained his aura of invincibility after dispatching Bruno and Seldon in short work for their alphabet titles.
