Default The Hate for Ricky Hatton is unreal!!

Im sorry but some of you guys especially Americans are unbelievable it wasn't a great performance against a tricky bigger south paw, i didnt see 10% of the bullshit Ricky is getting for exposed Americans like Jeff Lacy, but Ricky Hatton has an off night and it's lets slag him off as much as possible, it is beyond pathetic.

He won and it was alot closer than alot of you guys think, there are at least 5 rounds which i wouldnt argue with any of the two guys getting, lets judge Ricky after he settles in at 147, i mean Floyd looked good in his 147 debut against a 140 lb has been, so lets sit back and see what happens.

Easy...youv'e been complaining about the same issues with the fight as some of us Yanks...so let's not all lump this against Americans.

Well the same thing has happened to Cotto, Wlad, Taylor and so on. I wouldn't make such a big deal out of it. Hatton will win over some fans, he has heart and carries himself with class, that's more than Zab Judah can say

No but it seems like alot of these threads it's the Brits against the Yanks, who can get one over on the other, now the American fans are saying told you so!!! because Ricky wasnt on top of his game, its quite silly we need to respect every boxer not his nationality, i have pointed out on many times about Rickys short comings in this fight, but the amount of garbage people are posting and yes 95% is from Americans is just way off what Ricky is about. Like i say it's way over the top considering some off the whoopings we have seen this year with not evene 10% of the insut Ricky is getting.

im not from america (i'm from London) but i could see why the americans are saying shit about hatton, he was supposed to hit the US like a 'STORM' and he has failed to do that and his style was exposed, YES by a bigger fighter, but you cant really argue about that because hatton wanted the fight, he weighed atleast 147 lb which is the limit but he had a height disadvantage and you cant say anything about that either its like saying tyson lost to lewis because his smaller/shorter

Let's not bring up the word YANKEE...I am American, I am no yankee. Yankee meant Rube or Bumpkin so on...and I am no RUBE sir!

It's not a thing of being american, because I'm puertorican so I don't know what the deal is with Yanks vs. Brits is there any.All I'm saying is that you guys make Hatton look as if he's #1 P4P and it's just because he's english. He doesn't look that impressive and any1 from outside U.K. will tell you so.

I loved seeing Calzaghe box Lacy ears off that night, cuz I give props to who deserves it,but Hatton only beat Tszyu with cheap tactics and all of a sudden he can take on any1 without being defeated and after Saturday's night I thought there was going to be a lot of clear minds after what happened, but It remains the same, the hardest step to overcome is DENIAL.

Most of the people actually down playing Ricky are new people who have shown more than once they know nothing about boxing... Also this is nowhere close to the heat Lacy got when he lost badly to Calzaghe... you guys where flaming him for like a month and any Lacy fan along with him. Also with Mayweather when his fight with Judah was to some close... you guys thought Hatton would kill him that Mayweather proved he was no1.

i didn't get to watch the fight(to pissed to try order it) but it seems like it was a close fight,
that been said Hatton's getting alot of stick, I think he's a good guy outside the ring who's pretty down to earth and doesn't slag of his opponents so I can't understand the hate towards him
He got stick 4 not fighting in America, but now he has and it seems people are now trying to find other reasons to hate on him. Also we've seen big upsets reasontly ( Zab, Morales, Brewster ) thats because its boxing and anything can happen, if Hatton had stopped him in the first minute he'd be getting stick 4 fighting a bum, but he's entertaining and fights with his heart on his sleve and digs deep! Maybe he'll lose to a big name soon, maybe not but he'll definitly give it his all and not quit! I'd like to see him fight Gatti, just because they are very similar and would both give it there all

Nothing to do with the height, its the fact Hatton was fighting against the biggest guy he has ever fought and you could see he was the strongest aswell, which took alot out of Hatton as we saw, it's not easy moving up in weight, it's more the fact that you are dealing with physically bigger men in the ring, not height wise.

Also Lacy was fucking praised not slagged off!!!! For his courage!! Of most people anyway, also Hatton won the fight, unlike Lacy who was beaton badly in every round.

I just want to know what everyone thinks would have happened had Cotto fought Tszyu?

Next, I think Ricky is as always predicted on par with Cotto, they have their shortcomings but they have loads of heart and won't back down from anyone

yeah the stick Lacy got was way out of order, but that doesn't make it right to happen to other boxers
as well, I like both Lacy and Hatton at least they did what alot of boxers won't do and left home looking for a bigger challenge

If Cotto fought realistically...I think it would be a competitive fight...that's all I'm saying...but if Cotto fought like the twat he's been fighting like for the past year & a half...he'd be picking thread out from between his teef!

Agreed. That will be a good fight if it materializes.
