But the WBA is already letting him duck whoever is RANKED by them. I mean Owen Beck ain't exactly a jaw dropping great pick. He's gonna catch hell for fighting bums.
Valuev is no better than Butterbean, he's a sideshow freak that needs to be taken care of and he's the worst title holder since Primo Carnera!

I don't know...Holyfield got whipped by Larry Donald so I would say no, just because he's not only old he's FIGHTING old.
I think Brock, Sultan, hell McCline would give Valuev a hard time...I mean he had to hit Cliff Ettiene on the back of the head to KO him....Fres Oquendo and Brock dropped him EASY

Valeuv is being protected, the only notable opponent he has faced so far is only really Ruiz....and that don't count for shit.
Valeuv looks solid, but not much else....although i gotta say, his handspeed is pretty good

Hey he did us one favor, he got rid of Ruiz once and for all (I hope). Maybe he'll just stay over in Russia and Gremany and become The Unknown Champion. A paper bag over his face will help with that nickname (if you are over 30 and American and remember The Gong Show, you'll get the joke).

Well I enjoyed the Valuev - Etienne fight even if it wasn't very long. Valuev doesn't have much handspeed which is hardly unexpected given his size, and that's why he doesn't have great knockout power. His opponents can see the punches coming and can roll with them or get out of the way. Even so, his strength is enough to knock out most heavyweights. Valuev is quite disciplined in the ring, maybe more than he needs to be. I wonder what would happen if he stood toe to toe with a big puncher like Samuel Peter. Valuev's defence isn't great other than because of his size and jab, but he's not stationary. He can move backwards to avoid an onrushing man.
Honestly I'll bet that Valuev's manager (and promoter Don King) has a lot to say about who he fights. I can't believe that Valuev is "chicken" and wants all easy targets. He's not that young anymore and probably wants to fight the best guys around as long as there's a little money to be made.
Owen Beck, however, should be an easy fight for Valuev. If he wins then there will be a big clamor for Valuev to fight another belt holder. I bet that we see such a fight in the early part of 2007.

Don King has his hand FAAAAAR up Valuev's ass...if he does fight another belt holder expect it to be another DKP fighter.
I would really like Vitali to come back for ONLY this fight. I know his knee is fucked and he's older but he'd flat out pulverize Valuev.

He didn't look hurt IMO... and his jab was hurting Ettiene... THat being said I think he gets beat by top heavywieghts easily.

I watched all 3 fights the Otis , Taras and Clifford fights and i think :
1.He won very easly the Otis 1 . . . Otis do notting i saw only a right from Otis and it made Value's head move but notting more . . .
2.Taras gave really very great shots to Valuev but its just 30 seconds video and i never watch the full fight so i cant make a decide and Valuev won the fight by UD by Asian referees . . .
3.It was really funny fight VS Ettienne . . . Valuev plays with him really so easly and won the fight . . . The KO was in the back side of the head but even when that was not happened Ettienne would lose in 4 or 5 for sure ! ! !
I dont think that Valuev is a bad boxer he beat some good avarage boxers like Domingez or Vidoz . . . And yes i think too that hard punchers like Peter,Rahman or even Tua will give much trouble to Valuev...
