    Default Sore KNEE'S

I am relly keen on boxing and want to get super fit to go in the ring but I quite often get sore knee's, my mum reckons it's because I jog on the pavements, I do this about 4/5 times a week, but I only do about 2/3 miles at a time because I was in a terrible physical condition weighting 19st and I'm only 5"10, now I'm 15st 8ibs. Does anyone think these pains are because of jogging?

    it could be
if you dont have the right running shoes on
or maybe you just have weak knees
you could go to a doctor or something
    and get it checked out

could be a lot of things like kickbox says. whats you're diet like.. you eat a lot of fish? you need certain fatty acids and other nutrients like Vitamin C to maintain you're joints.

They are caused by bad preperation, shoes have Little to do with it.Marathon runners who run without shoes dont have bad knees, runners that do have.At a guess you started running 6 st overweight, so metasarbles arnt working properly so neither is your knee .Your hamstrings have tightened up because of bad gait.Stretch your Hamstrings and the whole leg properly take 30 mins doing it.You will feel the difference
Pain lasts a only a minute, but the memory will last forever....

I never run on pavement only on grass or treadmill. I also take cartilage maintanence pills to prevent sore joints
