Default If Tarver lands that left hook on Hopkins that he landed on Jones

Would it be good night, will Hopkins just try to survive after will, or will Hopkins still believe he can win the fight and try to?

This is silly. That punch against Roy was a million dollar punch (landed with his eyes closed) odds of it happening again, somewhere around the odds of lightning striking the same place twice, but for the sake of argument say it does. The result would be the same as with Roy.

I agree and disagree. I do think that was a lucky punch. He threw it on purpose but no way did he think it would land like that.Like you said he had his eyes closed. But if he landed that shot on Hop i don't know if it would knock him out like jones being that I think Hop has a great beard. Hes only been down twice in almost 16 years both in the same fight 10 years ago. And if anyone can remember that fight the shots that dropped him caught him under the chin almost in his neck. Put me in with a middleweight and let me get a clean uppercut to his neck i bet you i would drop him too. That being said i don't think he could get that kinda shot off on hop. Hes a great defensive fighter and every southpaw i've seen him fight he has owned. I don't know if hop will win cause size will be a big issue but I do think hopkins is a way better boxer than tarver. But so is jones and we saw what happened so we'll wait and see.
Step up so I can put you down

Agreed. Tarver might press the action a little more than Taylor did in the early rounds, but it'll settle into an all-out snoozefest very quickly.

I can gurantee you that Hopkins has never felt a punch as hard as he's going to feel against Tarvar. 15 pounds of weight may not be alot in a street fight but in a boxing match it is. Tarvar is a naturally bigger fighter with a longer reach and a stronger punch. Hopkins would not get up if he recieved the same punch as Roy Jones. Hopkins knows what he is in for, if you look at any of the press conferences he is talking very little trash about Tarvar, he only claims that he will be the victor. Past opponents have been ridiculed by B-Hop such as Taylor, Trinidad, Joppy. He's not pulling that with Tarvar, you can see that when they went face to face for the photo. Tarvar of course is doing his usually trash talking

I'm not a big Tarver fan, but I don't think that knockout punch was luck. He waits, and waits, and waits, then finally throws the big left. I don't think he knew it was a knockout punch, but he knew where he was throwing it.

hopkins will b momentally stunned than counter with one of his own punches and stun tarver---tarver is an OLD MAN 38--so hopkins will win this fight on UD or SD. hopkins has an excellent chin and will whip babyface tarver into an old man face tarver.

Cool Click. you made a profound point. Hopkins is usually in the shoes of the intimidator, the bad guy and the bully. And usually his opponents are shorter than him. In this match Tarver is the intimidator, the bad guy and the bully, and he is tall as if not taller than Hopkins.

Saturday night interview was the first interview I saw Hopkins somewhat subdued and carefully choosing his words while Tarver was outspoken.

This may very well be the first fight that Hopkins is going into with a psychological disadvantage.

After doin 6 years in a Philly State prison I doubt Bernard is scared of Antonio Tarver.
