so far do we have a fight of the year candidate. the only one I can think of is MAB-Juarez. The only other possible matchup that can rectify this dull year is Pac-Morales III

Mab - Juarez so far. as for the Manny - Erik fight i didnt think that was that good personaly i thought Morales slowed too early for the fight to be THAT good. 2 words (and one number) though, Corrales-Castillo 3

quite a few great fights so far.........

liakhovich vs brewster is the one i enjoyed the most

    but....

MAB vs Juarez was great......Hatton vs Collazo was good

Over here in england, Froch and Magee was very exciting, as was Williams vs Skelton

Calzaghe-Lacy!!! that fight went the polar opposite of what we thought it would go....it wasn't even close and Joe C fought the fight of his life!!!!!
It feels good to be back home.

Calzaghe Vs Lacy isn't a contender for fight of the year. Though I'd certainly call it performance of the year from Joe Calzaghe.

Fights of the year so far:

MAB Vs Rocky Juarez, Hatton Vs Collazo and Williams Vs Skelton.

I thought Magee Vs Froch was shit, very amateurish performances by both men though the fight did show Froch has a decent chin.

anda shite defence... Well not one he bothers to use anyway.

Before Lacy Calzaghe I had it as a dead cert for fight of the year, I picked Calzaghe to win in a tough, competative fight... it wasn't competative for one split second... after about round 4-5 I was bored shitless.
