Default Tarver takes shots at PBF and Oscar

Antonio Tarver respects De La Hoya and Mayweather Jr. as fighters, but questions the level of opposition they have faced, calling them B-Level.

Kevin Van Brimmer of the TCPalm quotes Tarver as saying: "Floyd Mayweather and Oscar De La Hoya are great fighters, but I feel I'm the best fighter today. There's no fighter out there doing the things I'm doing, knocking out legends. These guys are going the distance with 'B' level fighters, fighting life and death with 'B' fighters. I make it look easy and (critics) want to call it boring."

Source of Quotes: Kevin Van Brimmer, TCPalm

this "milk dud" has some nerve. I always try to cut him slack but it all goes to trash once he open his big mouth. I am praying for a hopkins knockout so it will shut him up for good.
"Very few people really understand what it means to be a fighter. I hate it when I hear someone say, 'That fighter doesn't have guts. I hate that, I don't care if you're a world champion six times over or a four-round fighter, to step inside that ring, you have to have guts" Oscar De La Hoya

Wow, it amazes me what some people will say when they know its going to end up in the paper or magazine. You should have confidence in yourself, but why do you feel the need to put down others to accomplish that purpose?

Knocking out legends? Roy was hardly the legend he once was, the bad thing about beating legends is that usually when you beat them they arent what they used to be. Hopkins doesnt seem to be what he used to be either and if tarver wins and said he beat another legend...the guy is over 40 and maybe a legend but as i said Muhammed Ali is also a legend but i would brag about knocking him out at this point.

what has tarver really done anyway----beat a washed up and shot as hell roy jones---even lost to that version of roy once--and deserved to lose that one i might add..and split with a glorified albeit tough journeyman in glen johnson.............oscar's track record for fighting the best is unquestioned.........pbf has fought judah castillo 2x corrales gatti--and know pbf and dlh will fight one another hopefully

tarver is a joke...........the best comp hes fought to date is 59 yr old sly stallone balboa

Whoa...ok, I am gonna say that I've always liked Antonio Tarver, but this guy is seriously starting to be delusional. PBF fought the best of the best at 130 & 135 when they were in their primes and even though he's way past his natural weight he's still fighting good competition (Zab Judah is a fighter with A level skills but a B level head), ODLH has fought every dangerous fighter including Vargas, Trinidad, Mosley, Hopkins. How the fuck is ODLH a bum when he when toe to toe with the same guy Tarver is gonna be fighting on Sat. Tarver better hope that he KOs Hopkins. I won't even be happy with a SD or UD. If Tarver loses, he will disappear.

OK, I'm taking issues with one thing you said. Johnson is a great fighter, remember, at one point he was 32-0.

But ya know people complain about Hopkins' style, boring methodical and all this stuff (even myself). That intelligent fighting is gonna pay off against Tarver, this is the 1 fight where I WANT to see Bernard being slow, methodical, completely fucking with Antonio's mind. I think he'll outlast him and finish it later on. If people on this forum can see the issues with Tarver's stamina, so does the Nard. Expect to see Tarver go down like Trinidad in one of the later rounds!

I hope your right. Someone needs to shut this loud mouth up, it might as well be Bernard Hopkins.

Man I hope your right..because in spite of my hate for the guy i'm picking tarver because I'm superstitious and b-hop was on the cover of fight night...much like rjj... after the game came out RJJ won one fight then lost the next three...bernard won his first fight after it came out then lost two to jermain so..i guess the third is in order...the same with oscar he won against mayorga now he will lose against pbf and whoever else he fights....

BUt I hope this time i'm wrong and bhop wins...
