    Default B Hop-Jc:who would win??

There are bits of this argument scattered so I thought I'd see what you guys thought, let's talk this through! Who would win and how/why? Firstly B Hop would be constantly moving and his D is awesome but on the other hand,JC,awesome boxer. He has the speed, stamina, and the great combos to live with anyone! I'm not sure who I think would win!!!

Im not sure you know its a hard one to pick, i no B Hop is seen as god after saturdays performance but i honestly believe even though it was a great performance it was Tarvers lack of fight that made this fight so easy, Calzaghe offers different problems, im not sure it could be a 50/50, would depend on how many shots Calzaghe could land, i defo dont think this fight will happen because if there was millions of $$$ on the table maybe so but i still feel Joe aint big enough in ther States for both men to be making a few million each.

I agree,I don't think this fight will happen but we can dream.Naaa,I think B Hop deserves all the credit in the world for his performance,to move up in weight and in your first fight, take on the best in the division and school win, winning every round is just INCREDIBLE.

Calzaghe would win a lopsided UD but in a tough fight.

Im not even going to get into this argument. I love both fighters to death and its something I have real difficulty considering....

An intriguing match up....I think perhaps at this stage Calzaghe might be too much...

    but you never know

the contrast and clash of styles is very difficult for me to get my head around...

Don't you think BHop's movement and great defence will nullify JC's high output? Can JC hurt BHop,I think Bernard can hurt him.

I don't think anything will nullify his output, I seen one of Lacy's really good shots land on Joe's chin and it had no effect. It's really hard to stop someone who throws punches in such volume and won't go down, always coming forward never running out of gas and can step back and technically box you at the same time. Calzaghe doesn't fight the same in every fight, that was just the forumla he used for Lacy. Who knows how he'd fight Hopkins, but either way JC is too versatile for Hopkins.

I think JC would win a semi-close (116-112) UD. People think I'm hating but I think Tarver's lack of a gameplan and refusal to throw any punch with conviction made B-Hop look that good. B-Hop was scoring with right hand leads, that's it. If B-Hop fought JC, B-Hop would still score with those same right hand leads, but JC would definitely outwork Bernard and land a lot more, I'd think that he would make Bernard trade and fight and I'm not sure Bernard can do that anymore. Seriously, Tarver was looking for one big shot all night, and considering that B-Hop is awesome defensively, all he had to do all night was pick and choose his spots. Use the right hand lead, jump in grab, bang to the body, the ref breaks. rinse and repeat. I'm not saying that it wouldn't work on JC, but JC knows he ain't knocking B-Hop out and he'll work 3x more than Tarver did.

I see what you're saying, and I have a question for you since I'm obviously not qualified to answer this

Is Joe a stylistic nightmare for Hopkins?

Well i think at 40 years old yes but i do think hop would have been too much for joe about 4 years ago.Keep in mind i only give joe the edge now because his work rate would be alot higher than hops but i in no way think joe is a better boxer than hop.

As you can see i only gave joe the advantage cause of workrate. I did not think that hop could could keep up a steady attack anymore but after seeing the power he gained and the skill he still had at 175 i would pick hop at 175 to not just beat him but maybe even ko him. Hopkins ain't lacy. Joe throws alot of punches but they are slapping punches he just landed a whole lot on lacy. Do you think he would be able to come in like that on hop. If he did that fight would end early with joe being put down with a counter right hand. joe ain't that young either. do you think he'll still be throwing all those punches once he tastes a few right hands. He would get hit and if he don't have a plan b he will lose. Will he be able to handle getting roughed up cause you know hopkins is gonna be rough with him. Hes gonna grab him and get dirty with him after ever shot he throws. I take hop by ud or late ko
Step up so I can put you down

Why do you think that BHop is able to hurt Calzaghe?

BHop is way slower than Lacy and much more feather-fisted and he did not land a single clean punch, so how the heck should an old man like Hopkins hurt him?

Hopkins throws one punch at the time and then holds – difficult to win with such a style against octopus Calzaghe….
