Default winkys blocking of j.t punches still hurts...

winky defence with both his hands up to block j.t punches didn't help him...those punches got threw no matter if you had your gloves in the way...the impact still reaches the back of your head...and j.t threw a lot of them plus the body punches...look at winkys face...he hasn't been hit that much all of his career...and winky doesn't have enough power to worry taylor...

winky played it off that night...j.t is the toughest his been in with...give some credit to taylor...it was a great fight...but if it wasn't for j.t getting headbutt...taylor would of stop or gotten the ud...

lets put it to rest because really winky should of won that fight, he had taylor where he wanted him, taylor with a close eye and despret for one round, but winky didn't capitalize winky didn't listen to his corner to fight and finish strong in the 12...

winky don't want a rematch i think because he knows taylor is tough and is the first to rock him...plus j.t is still young he'll learn not to fight on the ropes and beat winky in the middle for the rematch...

Julio Cesar Vasquez rocked Winky, knocking him down 5 times in one fight!!
I had Winky ahead by one round, although there were a few debatable ones.

I think the draw calling was justified only because Winky did not control the fight.
If he had the energy to blaze JT in the 12th he would have got a MD or SD.

For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

You say that like it's some sort of fact THE FIGHT WASN'T EVEN GOING TAYLOR'S WAY DURING THE HEADBUTT. And you seem to forget that Wright lost a round because of a headbutt.

Winky thought he won the fight, you have to understand that he had reached this big time stage before...in 1998. He fought Fernando Vargas and in a fight similar to this one (but with Wright winning more rounds), he lost the decision in favor of an HBO fighter Now it takes him 6 years to get back on the top, he beats Mosley twice and Trinidad. He fights an HBO fighter and....well it's de ja vu. He's still pretty dejected right now, and I think the no rematch thing was heat of the moment. He doesn't want to put himself through that again. But since there are really no bigger and better fights out there....I envision them going again.

Now I'm not saying HBO pulled any strings, but I bet a lot of people, even a few people within the Winky camp think so.

Have you watched the Vagras-Winky fight?
Harold Leddermen had the fight 2 points ahead for Winky, and imo the fight could of gone either way

NO SHIT that still hurts!!!!!!especially from a puncher like taylor!!!!I think if Jermain went to the body more it would have paid dividents it would of slowed winky down and he would start dropping his guard

yea a bad decision has happened to him before...it was against vargas...he should of been smart enought to not let it happen again...not finishing strong like what his corner told him to do going out for the 12 was winkys fualt...plus this was a draw a fair decision...a win wasn't taken from winky nor a lose was given to him by the judges...it was that he didn't capitalize at the advantage he had that night with j.t thats why it was a draw...

I think if Jermain was what he was supposed to be then hed beat a light middle weight non puncher like a supposedly heavy handed middle is supposed to do

Blocked punches still hurt, but blocked punches still aren't landed punches to get you a point. Because they were blocked.

Vazquez fought a smaller Wright with a totally different more hit and move technique.

didn't you see Winky's face after the Soliman fight....He looked every bit as bad it not worse that after the Taylor fight.....He just swells up when he gets hit...and the verdict is still out on the rematch....
It feels good to be back home.

Taylor won the fight and he would have won it by more if he kept out of the corners and didn't lose sight in the left eye. He would have knocked winky out.
