    Default RJJ fight having troubles.

    http://www.doghouseboxing.com/chee/chee_0707hi06.htm

Doug Haller for The Arizona Republic is reporting that ticket sales for Roy Jones Jr's upcoming bout with Prince Badi Ajamu is running flat. The fight is set to occcur on July 29 in Boise.

According to The Arizona Republic since last week less than 700 tickets have already been sold. There are 6,000-seat Qwest Center in Boise which is set to hold the event.

Promoter Kasey Thompson was quoted by the Idaho Statesman (another paper revealing poor ticket sales for Jones Jr - Prince Ajamu) laying some blame on Jones Jr. himself for not helping with the promotion and not being there physically.
Thompson told the paper: "By having Roy physically in Boise — Roy's here, come see him — that is the best shot of selling tickets. It solidifies and shows he's going to be in Boise. People are not going to tie up $700 bucks for a hope-it-happens fight."

Another thing hampering ticket sales is the high price of the tickets. Fans have to cough up over $200 and upwards to attend the event.

Man,I used to love RJJ(who didn't)but he is making a real fool of himself. Why take this fight? And what idiot would pay that much to see it when Roy is not even promoting the dam fight!

agreed.......and im not all that sure that boxing is all that big of a deal in idaho

seriously.......whos gonna shell out that kind of money to see a washed up, has been rjj
(i love the guy and am/was a huge fan) who isnt going to go very far in his comeback, against some "never has been, never will be" fighter

and if you anybodys been to idaho(i have) you will understand how ridiculous the concept of having THIS fight, over there (idaho), with THOSE ticket prices is

wtf were the people setting up that fight thinking

    these are my humble opinions
