In ice hockey, is there a rule where you can have a fight willingly and not get disqualified?

its part of the game man, and its not hatred its more like a bad check or constant bullying, each teams usually have a enforcer who looks out for the attackers and if they are getting roughed up by any oposing defence men he sorts em out.

Ice Hockey is a game of unwritten laws...ie you hit the goalie while he has the puck, you're gonna get fucked up, you hit the star player hard and you're going to get fucked up.

I loved playing hockey, firstly pretty much all hockey players are tiny (at least in the league I played in..I know there are SOME big guys out there), secondly they are on skates which affects their balance even more. I wrecked those kids, I should have been thrown in jail...I got kicked out of a couple games too.

If not, I would not agree that ir encourages violence - most really violent sports have less crowd trouble than namby pamby ones like football.

Theres no such "hooliganism" in ice hockey as there is compared to football.

And if a guy dont wanna fight he dont fight its simple, thats like saying boxing isnt a sport.

Im sure alot more people would watch baseball, or football or any other sport of fighting was allowed, its a fact of nature that humans enjoy violent sports, look at the colleseum for christs sake!

imo it just dosen't seem right...
you look at just about every other sport bar boxing

american football, swimmimg, athletics, world's strongest man, basball, bodybuilding, football, and just about every other sport you can think of..
They abhor violence and the last thing that particular sport wants is 2 guys bashing their skulls in, because it just dosen't make into a sport anymore..

In Ice Hockey you are supposed to play the sport you were trained for, and that's to score, defend, tackle, pass, etc....not to knock someone out and break their jaw.
Boxing's main objective is to fight the guy, not ice hockey's.....

I couldn't imagine that rule happening in football (soccer), it would cause choas and ultimately destroy the 'beautiful game' imo.

Some things to know

1) Not a lot of black people play ice hockey and most of the ones that do are from Canada

2) Minor League Ice Hockey is like "Wrasslin" on Ice....it's fights like every 5-10 minutes

3) NHL hockey you only have a couple guys who fight from each team (for the most part). They are called Goons or Enforcers...much like how Vinnie Jones was in soccer.

5) Yes apparently they do play Ice Hockey here in the south, I mean my home team CAROLINA HURRICANES won the Stanley Cup
