A grand juror was charged yesterday with fondling himself in Brooklyn Federal Court's jury assembly room, authorities said.

Edwin Ng was caught in the lewd act by a courthouse employee stocking a vending machine, authorities said. She alerted U.S. marshals, who immediately busted Ng. The juror was on a break at the time.

Ng, 38, of Brooklyn, who is unemployed, was issued summonses for disorderly conduct, public lewdness and destruction of government property - the room's green carpet. He was discharged from jury duty.

Ng faces up to a year in prison and a fine if convicted, a spokesman for the Federal Protective Service said.


I especially like the bit where it says he was fined for destruction of the room's green carpet, I can only assume that means he splurted his load out onto it, hilarious!

People come up with all kind of weird way's to beat Jury duty but this one takes the cake, besides he was not trying to beat the duty he was trying to beat himself.

It's not optional, you get that letter through the post, you have to go.

Although it does rather make a mockery of the idea that in order to be democratic and representative a jury should be composed of random members of the public rather than paid officials.

Call me stupid but I personally would rather have important cases tried by professional jurors rather than unemployed sexial deviants but thats democracry for you,
