There was alot of hype surrounding Lacy from day one. Luckily Calzaghe shut that down but alot of people in the U.S. expected great things from this kid. Did the U.K. fans see through all the Bullshit from the get go or did the hype fool you abit?

I was sold on the guy and in all my predictions said the fight was 51% Lacy 49% Calzaghe, but a lot of that was also due to me believing that JC was on the slide.

I stilll think Lacy could've gone on to become a superb world champion, but taking a beating like that from a guy that was world champion for 4 years before he even turned pro may have wrecked his career.

    Hope not!!

I'm sure Hopkins could win this one but I can't believe some of you are saying he would KO Lacy.

Hopkins hasn't KO'd anybody properly for over 4 years.

De La Hoya taking a taking a dive doesn't count, plus he's only a 154 lber anyways.

No way Hopkins knocks Lacy out.

I like Lacy in this one. Guy is a wrecking machine, I do not think it would be wise to use the shoulder roll with this guy.

Yeah that is surprising, the only way that makes sense is if Lacy's just totally ruined.

I mean if Lacy showed anything in the Calzaghe fight it was a good chin. Now maybe its just ruined now but still Hopkins doesn't have huge power, and doesn't throw many punches. I mean supposedly Lacy took over 1000 punches from Calzaghe, although I've always thought that was a BS number nevertheless he took a lot of punches, and only was dropped once. I seriously doubt Hopkins would KO him with his 2 or 3 right hands a round.

Hopkins is the smartest fighter of our era. Lacy is a young bull. Giant Lacy fan but he gets boxed circles around. Hopkins lopsided UD. No way he gets KO'd.

Bernard wins at any weight .

He'd hypnotize Lacy from the outside and sneak in counters and right hand leads . Jeff wouldnt be able to get out the way and id be impressed if he heard the final bell .

It would be like watching Tarver - Nard but Jeff may take a bigger beating cuz he would keep trying

I agree, but seeing the beating he withstood against JC I don't see Hopkins knocking him out, plus Bernard clearly outboxed Tarver but it was nothing brutal, it was a technical display of masterful boxing.
